Yes it is! Wow, I'm really glad you asked. The movie is based on real events that occurred in south central Africa in the year 2015. The apes that lived there thought that they were as good as normal humans and decided to start their own society. Luckily there are badasses out there like Charlton Heston who don't put up with that kind of monkey crap. God bless Heston and the NRA.

I loved the movies and even bought the boxed set!!
You reminded me of a very funny story. I went to see the first Lord of the RIngs and there was a man who was about 50 and he took his mother to the movie. She was asking him a lot of questions in the begining of the film. He told her to be quite and he would tell her more about it later. She said really loudly "Nevermind, I get it this happened a long time ago"
