My hair is naturally medium brown and I dye it black, but
I want to dye it with Manic Panic and in order for it to show up I'm told my hair has to be very light blonde. Can it be bleached back to blonde and if so can it be done without shredding my hair to all hell and back? thanks.

You'd have to go to a colorist who will remove the current color with one process & recolor with another. Great way to get overprocessed hair!

I was in the same situation and went to very upity expensive salon. I had long black hair which wanted least length taken off as possible. When I came out it was a wierd orange at the tips and very light at roots and they had cut it really short into old church lady style (god bless um)....don't spend the money. If you are going for bright manic p. colors- What I might suggest are getting extrensions woven/braided into your current black hair and that way you can start letting the dyed part grow out.

Depends on the condition your hair is in. If its still in good condition you will have to double process it (strip once it goes to orange, then strip again to go to light blonde.) Afterwards you can apply the Manic Panic color but make sure you deep condition immediately afterwards and on a regular basis after that. You'll also have to avoid tying your hair back tightly, because your hair will be prone to breakage. Also be gentle when you toweldry and comb/brush...also consider blowdrying on cool and using cool water to wash your hair. You'll still be combing out strands the first week or so, so don;t freak out. Just do what you can to avoid further damage.

Absoulty not, u have to bring the color up gradually, thru the color spectrum and it is best to have a good hair dresser do it. How ever talk to others and make sure the person doing so is experienced at this. I say this as i saw a woman once with um pink, green, purple hair, ugh it was awful and she was very angry at the person that did it ! be wary dear you could end up bald!

Most likely you would be able to dye it the way you want it but it will get really damaged!! I don't think you would want that..
