Yes, you can use it but when the sales clerk is asking you for it, you are giving her a Credit Card, not a Debit Card. I used to live in the States and I had a Mastercard Debit Card. You will hear sales staff talk about Debit Cards - OURS ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM YOURS!!!!!!! It's all because our banking system is national and yours (for the most part) is not. So, just say to them that you're using a Credit Card and they'll push the appropriate buttons on their machines so that you can use it.

Its a Visa.. of course! Our main credit cards over here are MasterCard and Visa. There aren't too many places that don't accept them. (Tim Horton's doesn't!)

But!... If you mean a Visa/Debit.. your debit won't work. I had a girl try that at the grocery store I used to work at.. we don't have these things over here so I'm not sure if that's what your talking about... It looks identical to a Visa but serves as a debit card also? Those don't work here but your Visa will.

Any shop that accepts visa will accept your electron card. You can also take money out of any ATM bank machine of any bank that has the visa or electron sign on it. I used mine with no problem when I came here. Good luck.

Hi, It is quite hard to say whether they will accept. A lot of people find it difficult to find out, ask your travel agents to see if they can find out for you. Plus if you are 18 or above, go to your bank and ask them if they will upgrade your account to a full bank account, if you can get that done before you go, problem solved hopefuly.

Hope it helps

i doubt it, you can hardly even use them over here, they are the cards they give to people who are a credit risk or are skint so dont think they would let you run roit in a different country with one.
