I prayed for something and God spoke to me and said "It Shall Come To Pass" But that was seven months ago! I know he works in His time and not ours, but I just don't understand why it is taking so long. I have prayed for God to show me what I need to be doing but He hasnt showed me anything. I just feel a little distant from Him. I know that I should just wait upon Him, but it is hard. And if I pray for patience then that will bring tribulation! I feel like I'm going crazy! Any ideas, comments or anything that would help?

I have found that the answer to our prayer is a lot closer that you think. You can not pimp God. He is sovereign. He will answer your prayer. Maybe you feel like he's not answering you 'cause your focus is on the answer and not him. When you put your focus totally on him and continue to live a life that is pleasing to him, your answer will be sitting at your feet. Focus on God and getting all the mess people can't see like envy, anger, hate, jealousy, covetousness, and the list goes on. We are all a work in progress, but when we take the time to build our relationship with him, instead of asking or "praying" for things, all our desire will be met. Now don't get me wrong, pray.... ask God for what you want and need. Just be prepared and ready to accept ,if he say not now or NO! You are not crazy or confused; life and death are in the power of the tongue. You are Godly person seeking Godly wisdom. Focus on you and everything will have changed because you have..............When what's important to God becomes important to you then what's important to you becomes important to God!=) tRust God even when he feels far away because you know he is always there never to leave you nor forskae you....BE Blessed

Some of Gods greatest gifts are unanswered prayers you may think its something you just have to have right now but there is a lesson in everything God does. So maybe you just need to be patient. Its like praying to God to be an adult when you are 5 yrs old, just be patient honey God is listening!

understand totally am waiting for something He promised a while back it does get discouraging at times but I praise and thank Him anyways even though it hasn't came yet.
The word says we know in part what He knows in full.
There's a chorus I sing when I'm feeling impatient it this Those that wait on the Lord shall renew their strenghth they will mount on wings as eagles they will walk and not get weary run and not faint teach me Lord how to wait (i pray this helps)

If it hasn't come to pass the way you think it should it means that you are not ready yet for the situation you have prayed about....or...you have not learned the lesson you need to from the situation you are in.

While you are being patient start living and acting like the prayer has been answered. It will not only then come to pass...it will be present in your life's NOW.

Maybe u feel distant from him because u are, do not rush the lord, he is never late, and he is never early, he is an on time god. remember how long abraham waited for a child, he probably had given up hope but he had to get it because god promised him a child. just as sure u said god promised you, he will not go back on his words according to the bible. in order to here from god u need to listen to him. he knows the desires of ur heart, u just need to let go, stop trying to deal with it on ur own, he is ur FATHER and he will never let u down, let hin do it. Good Luck

Maybe He is letting you figure it out for yourself........... sometimes, that's a blessing in disguise, someday, someone may have the same problem and you'll know how to help them.

Remember, everything bad that happens to you, gives you the experience to help others who will go thru the same thing. :)

A man was drowning, he prayed for God to help and believed He would,
Soon, a helicopter came by and the man said, "Nope, I got it, God's gonna help me."
Later a boat came by and he said, "Get outta here, God's got this!"
He died........
In front of God he asked, "Why didn't you answer my prayer? I REALLY believed!!!"
God said, "What?? I did answer you, I send you both a helicopter AND a boat!"

It is very hard when you pray for something and you dont get it answered when you want it too.My 3 year old has had nerve damage since she turned 15 months old and I am still waiting for my prayer to be answered but I must tell you she is walking with a walker at this point and is getting better its just been slow.It will happen when He wants it to.Same with your prayer we just have to trust in Him.He does things when He wants to,not when we want him to.Good luck.

patience patience and patience. if God tells you it will come in time, it will. whether it comes soon or not, it will come. just remember, 7 months is not a long time for God who has been around since the beginning of time. Give God some patience, and faith, and he'll give you an answer.

Yes, waiting is hard sometimes, and it's usually on the thing you want the most. You can be strengthened to wait on the Lord and He will give you what to do today until you receive your request(s). ("Give us this day our daily bread"--that's physical and spiritual food!)

Here's your promise from the Bible:
Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
