i downloaded a movie fom emule & windows media plyer pop up says that there are missing codecs..what does this mean?how do i fix it?

wont play...whats the file extension? is it for real, quicktime? if not reinstall or updat windows player,or try another dl form another site of the same thing...could be corrupted
