he's cute, smart, and funny, but is only 5'2. This bothers me for some reason. I need a taller man. How should i tell him this? or can something be done to fix his shortness?

I totally understand where you're coming from. I am not at all attracted to short men. I like my men tall. My b/f is 6'6" but he's not the greatest of boyfriends. However, if your boyfriend is a great guy, then don't dump him for superficial reasons. You did say boyfriend, not some nice guy that's interested in you. There is a reason you made him your boyfriend, think back to reasons and consider is it really worth losing a great guy because he's lacking a few inches. Looks come and go, but great chemistry is something that will make a relationship work. Hope this helps some.

Personally, I don't think height is a factor for a long term relationship. If he has everything else going for him, I think you would be crazy to dump him for such an insignificant reason. After all, no one is perfect and there are always things about everyone that you have to just overlook. I've been married for 27 years to a guy that I thought was pretty bad looking when we first met. Turned out that in the long run, the things I thought were "wrong" about him didn't matter at all. Guess he must have decided the same about me!LOL

Ah, I'm the perfect person to answer this question for you. You don't state your age, but if you're young, take heart because the kid will grow more. If you're adults, even better news for you! My boyfriend is just one inch taller than I am (I'm 5'4"). In heels, obviously I'm much taller. But it doesn't bother me because he knows how to treat me right. He makes me laugh, he's there for me when I need to talk and he loves me for who I am. He's also incredibly smart. Had I been so focused on his height, I would have missed out on the love of my life. I think I saw it in either Dear Abby or Dear Annie, but someone had written about short statures and there was a wonderful retort by someone which was: "I measure a man from the eyebrows up." You should too!

Unless your boyfriend is in adolescents and growing it sound as if that's as tall as he is going to get. If he is a great guy why does height make that muck difference. You knew how tall he was when you first met him did you think that would change? Elevator shoes, lift inside the shoe may help short term but this is a long term problem. I think that there is underlying reasons or motivations for your wanting to ditch the guy. Look at yourself and be honest.

Depends on how much you like him... If the height thing really bothers you, then let him know right away that you don't want to be together. But let me tell you that by the way he sounds, guys like that don't come around too often -- if you can look past the height thing then give him a chance and see how happy he makes you before you give up on it.

Why should this guy have to change his height because you can't handle it? How shallow are you? His height isn't something that needs to be fixed.
How would you feel if someone told you they didn't want to go out with you anymore because you are too ugly, and then told you that you should fix your looks by getting plastic surgery?
Do this guy a favor, tell him you are a louse, a despicable person and that he deserves someone better because you are too vain to accept him for who he is.

Wow u sound kinda of shallow. U shouldent have gone out with him in the first place then. And how would u feel if he dumped u b/c he said for a girl ur to tall. Anyways if ur not happy then leave its as simple as that.

From reading your other questions you sound like a crazy b*tch so I think you would be doing him a favor if you broke up with him. I don't see how a great guy would ever make the mistake of dating you.
