The water dispenser dispenses cold water,the auger turns to dispense the ice,but no ice is being produced. What could be the problem? It is a Fridigedere side by side refrigerator.Is there anything I could check? The arm inside the ice maker is in the down position to make ice.Any suggestions short of repairman?

I have the same brand of side by side. Ours stopped and we had the ice tray in, but not all the way. Wiggle and shift and see if it helps. Lift and drop the arm a few times. Make sure your filter doesn't need replacing.
Isn't it great how kids tell you to "go buy another one" and "make ice yourself". Good to know their parents are making sure they are spoiled and lazy!

Maybe it's as simple as a chunk of ice that is jammed in the ice maker, preventing the parts from moving like they should. Or double check that the arm is in fact all the way down. Call
Frigidaire to see if they have suggestions.

Hello!
Move the arm into the opposite position of where it is now and see what happens when it cycles. Also make sure they tray is not frozen up with ice somewhere.
