If you want to ease the pain until you can get to the doctor try a few drops of warm sweet oil or Coloidal Silver Drops ----fill ear canal place a tissue over ear for about 6 minutes and it will kill any bacteria or virus.

First of all I've never heard of antibiotic pills costing that much in my life. Second, why don't you have insurance? If you work 35 to 40 hours a week your employer ( by law ) has to provide some kind of insurance. Third, you can get your own insurance. There are a lot of companies that would sell you some. It might be cheeper in the long run if you keep getting these infections. Good Luck to you.

First, find out why you are getting these so often. That is not normal. Check you diet, what are you eating, something like dairy, wheat, nuts, all are common allergens that cause ear, nose and throat problems.

Go to a clinic, they are cheaper. I cannot believe they charged you $440.00 for antibiotics, that is wrong. The last time I was given antibiotics, the most I paid was $65.00.

I suggest you see some alternative medicine people, they know more about things like this than most doctors. Doctors just like giving out pills, not finding the cure.

consult another general practitioner to determine the cause of otitis, might be one of the symptoms for some other underlying diseases, or it might just be a simple infection. It will be wise to get a second opinion. The cost of $400 plus for 9 antibiotic pills is too steep unless it is a high efficacy gold standard. I am sure there are subsidaries available to cover medical costs and welfare for people with lower income. maybe you can inquire your eligibility for these plans at the hospital counter.
