i would for awhile. Then I would realize that to that person I probably am not that important. But to other people, I am not only important, but amazing. Then I'd walk away from the person who was so rude, and don't look back. You are important, just not to everyone. I am important, just not to everyone. You can't be important to the whole world. But you can be and are important to those who are meant to be close to you in this life. Stick with people who build you up, not tear you down...

The only time I would feel bad if someone were to say I wasn't important, would be if a family member said it to me. Otherwise, who-ever else may say it wouldn't matter to me, because in reality, you are really only important to your family.

Yes, I would feel bad, but only if I was being told that by someone I know.

Well, first I would be offended. But then I'd have to wonder what sort of mentality the person had to say such a thing, and "consider the source," as my mother used to say. Then I'd probably wish I could think of a snappy comeback. Then I'd get mad at myself for not being able to think of a snappy comeback, and probably lose my cool.

So it goes.

Of course I would! Especially if that person was my significant other. A statement like that is emotional abuse and a very important clue to dump the loser. If it was from a parent, then I'd let that parent know that the statement was mean-spirited and hurtful and not to talk like that again to me. If it was a child, smack that child upside the head and tell him/her that you are the parent, not their friend, and they are never allowed to speak like that to you again.Hope that didn't happened to you, dear.

I would feel angry and then I would make sure that they knew I was important.

Yes and I would probably decide that I did not want that person in my life.

I had this to happen to me once and my opinion of them dropped sharply...on THAT day!
He tried to apologize years later, but to no avail. He can't say anything to me and he cannot tarry in my eyesight.
At this point, if he caught on fire and needed me to spit on him to put him out, he would just be a burned-up ************! Please believe!
