Having looked at many, I like Buddhism the best.
A good place to start is the "For dummies" series of books (available on Amazon). You will find loads of different religions covered there.
Western religions tend to want you to go along on a Sunday, chant the chants, sing the songs, stand up, sit down, kneel and look pious, then leave some money in the plate, go away and leave them alone till next Sunday. You are NOT encouraged to seek enlightenment. With Buddhism, no one will tell you all the answers, but they will point to the questions so that you may find the answers for yourself. If you want to go all the way and seek enlightenment, then you will be helped and encouraged to do so.
Check it out! It makes a lot of sense!

I am a Noahide, seriously considering converting to Judaism. A Noahide believes the same things that Jews do; they have just not converted to Judaism yet or not going to convert. I believe in the One and Only G-d, and for a place in the world to come one must be concerned about how they live their life today. I used to be Christian; I ended up doing a lot of soul searching and I came to the conclusion that there is no way that Jesus could have been the Son of G-d. A wise teacher yes, but Son of G-d, no. I feel like I have finally come to a peace inside myself that I have never obtained before with Christianity.

I am a non-practicing Catholic because I was raised as one. I have issues with the religion but I still embrace it and identify with it because I still have love with some of its beliefs. Catholicism, without a doubt, has made a tremendous impact on who I am today. In essence, I believe in a higher being. I believe that we are on earth to make the world a better place. I believe we should love one another as human beings. My Catholicism places a spiritual umbrella over these beliefs.

I and my family are devout Christians.
If you read the bible and other religious text from other religions, you will quite clearly there is none other that is more informative, spiritual, historical and withstood the test of time like the bible. Christ taught to love unconditionally, not to judge. Judgment is for God. I have encountered some hardships in life that only the Lord was able to take me through it. My wife had severe lower back pain for 5 years, she had numerous procedures done on her back, no one could help, everyone had their own opinions. The pain got worse and progressed to sciatica in both her left and right legs on a daily basis, she lived on percocets, Tylenol 3 and hospitalization for pain relief. She could not stand or walk, I had to lift her to do everything, she had to have a commode, a walker and a bath bench, she is only in her 20's. Life was very hard she had thoughts of suicide. During this we regained our faith and decided not to see anymore doctors but to rely solely on God, it seemed hard at first. The pain was constant and nonstop. We started praying each and every day and reading the bible. On March 29 of this year. I told my wife to spend some time alone with God, while praying and calling out she heard a soft voice asking her if she believed, she said yes, then he said to get up ( she was in pain), she stood up and the pain made her fall to her knees and she continued praying, the voice told her to stand which she did and then he told her she was healed, she felt a warm sensation over her entire body and cracking noises in her back. She has never felt any pain or discomfort since. She is now able to do everything she loves to do which she could not before. She even helped me to lift furniture and she is still totally okay and pain free.
As far as I am concerned Christianity is the only way. It is the only religion that promises an eternity of joy with God for those who serve him, and the only religion that shows a savior who gave his life so that we do not have to be slaves to sin, but have salvation as long as we call on his name.

I am my own religion. I beleive that time is life and that this universe as hawking has explained is expanding at an accelerating rate to some day either dissapate or regroup for another expansion. So i beleive that without time or when i die basically that i am reunited with the infinite and then i hope i can become my self again although that is selfish of me because many have had it much worse than myself. My faith is that time will deal its justice with the gift or curse of perspective

I'm an atheist, but enjoy reading about most religions. I'd suggest wikipedia, that's what I normally use as an introduction to a new religion.

I do not have a "religion" per say...i simply believe what the Bible teaches. This is most commenly reffered to as Christianity. I also believe that Jesus is the son of God and died on the cross for us so we can go to heaven.

I am a Vaisnava - a branch of Hinduism.
We believe in one supreme entity/God.
The scriptures inform us that we are eternal spiritual souls and not the bodies we currently occupy.
I find that the philosophy and explanations given answer all my questions about who I am, why we have so much suffering and distress, what to do to become happier and how to get back to our original spiritual nature and with God.
The Hindu philosophy contains the most practical way of achieving happiness.
