Wood rots at sea level in warm weather where there are all kinds of critters and bugs that chew it up, and even then it takes a long time.
If the "thing" on Ararat is actually Noah's Ark, it could be that none of the critters and things that are there could survive at so high an altitude and cool of weather.

you mean that thing up on top of the mountain that no one has EVER ACTUALLY SEEN.
Get a life, blindy. There is no ark on that mountain, no one's brave enough to climb it and find out for themselves, and furthermore, Jews, Christians, and Muslims (basically everyone who believes in the whole flood story) can't agree with eachother about which mountain the ark is on, yet claim they can see it upon the mountain they claim it's on.
Also, I'm planning a little expedition to the top of Ararat, even though I know there's nothing up there except some rocks, but I'll publish the pictures, even though I know you all will refuse to believe they're real.

I'm sorry, but as a christian I do not believe that Noah's Ark is anywhere today. I believe it is decomposed.
Some people think that Mt. Ararat is where the ark landed, and some think that it's still around. But both of those are outside the Bible and doesn't matter one way or another as it is incosequential to my salvation.

Hmm its on top of Mt. Ararat? When the water went down it settled on a mountain that it was floating over. How else would anybody do it, "carry or lift" it up to a mountain? Ya that sounds logical-

Personally, I doubt that Noah's ark is really on top of Mt. Arat anymore. But it could be, because, theoretically, the ice would preserve it. I can't speak for other Christians or other issues, but I know that personally, on this issue, I'm not condtradicting myself.

God told Noah to coat the arc with "Pitch"...which is like tar.
Roughly the equivilent of sealing the wood with liquid tire rubber....preserved it from rotting.

If you asked any number of people all the same question, some would answer it incorrectly. Why is it so hard to understand that some of the people who answer questions here don't know what they're talking about?

Because it has been buried in snow and ice, which has preserved a large portion of it. I am sure that much of it IS rotted away.
