That is about the equivilant of taking a chance of shooting yourself in the chest. There is a good chance you can die from it, and a small chance you can live. So either way, you are playing odds, that arent very good on your end. Good luck with it, and remember to always practice safe sex....

It depends on a lot of factors, so without more information than you've provided (or that any of us really want to hear), it's impossible to calculate probability. Gut feeling; your chances are better if you're male than female, if your partner has no open wounds or sores, and if the encounter was brief. Also, the condition of your own immune system has a lot to do with it -- it is possible for some people to fight off a few viral particles, though it's not a gamble I would choose to take, personally. If you intend on being sexually active, and particularly if you plan on "playing the field," use a condom and get tested often! Know your partner's sexual history, and if they won't tell you, don't go any further -- you don't want to go there.

It's like Russian Roulette.. IF you know for a fact the person with whom you were with, does indeed have hiv, get your self to a doctor. And DO NOT have encounters with others until you get an all clear with the doctor.

It depends on whether or not you protected yourself, i.e. safer sex guidelines. Also some sexual activities are more prone to transmission. But yes, it is possible with only one "encounter." Viruses don't care whether or not it's your first time, either.
In this day and age anyone who does not protect themselves, no matter what their partner says, is playing a very very dangerous game. Don't try to beat the odds - the consequences could be deadly!
Get some AIDS education at your local school or library.

You need to get checked right away and then every six months for so many years because the first test can be negative but you still possibly can be carring it.

Well, if there was not any injury while sex and no blood, it should be safe. Moreover, if u used condome, its ok. Cos, Aids is transmitted through blood only. Hummmm as far as I know. Any comments......doctors?
