I would highly recommed canada, (anywhere in the Rockys) or even Cape Brecon, the sceneray at that time of the year is out of this world, I'd go towards the end of September when all the greenery is changing colours I have never seen anything like it, it was fab, I have been there twice now in September and I am planning on going there again this year.

If that is out of your price range, Malta is a nice place to go where it is warm and relaxing I went there last year at the end of September and I was walking round in shorts day and night.

Where ever you decide to go I hope you have a brill time.

California or Arizona.
California has nice warm weather and tons to do. Plus the beach is always nice a relaxing. Plus you can get a tan or go run in the water.
Arizona- Same about the warm. Then it is also close to California. Phoenix is a 5hr drive from San Diego, so you can go there for a day or two. The Grand Canyons are nice. Just the whole scenery is calm and relaxing.

Speaking for my area (North America), hurricane season can put a damper on things. There were 25ft waves when I went on a Cruise in the Carribbean in late September. Not fun. I tend to avoid that entire area at that time of year, or at least have a backup plan and watch the weather.

It's still nice in areas in the Western US at that time of year, so places like Bryce Canyon, Zion N.P., or even Yellowstone & the Grand Tetons (though they may not qualify as warm) are my favorites. But if you're looking for a beach, you won't find them there. Upper Peninsula of Michigan is great, but anything goes with the weather at that time of year and there can be a world of difference between early September and Late September. Of course, Hawaii is always a good bet... It really depends on what you like to do when you get there and what you define as "relaxing".
