I have three all under 5, and it is hard keeping them occupied during the days. You can always take them to the park and let them run around for a while. You can also go to your local library b/c they usually have a day during the week when a lady will come in for story telling. Kids love that. And there is so much to learn at the library. You can also (if they are old enough) buy some little flash cards with each letter of the alphabet on it, and colors, markers, paper and let them draw and learn to write.
Girl, anytime you have more than two kids everything is a challange. You just have to not be lazy and do what you gotta do. I learned that real quick. And once you get used to it, it won't be a big deal, it will just be part of your routine.

I have a four year old daughter and two year old twin girls.
I take them everywhere i need to go, even to places such as the grocery store and the mall.
they arent always the best behaved, but i think they need to know that mommy HAS to go and they dont have a say. They need to understand that they dont have a choice.
At home i let them do paintings and crafts. I have bladeless scissors they enjoy to cut paper and this way are in no harm.
I also have a pool for them in back with a slide going into it.
We go on walks to the park and they like to go to cheer up the elderly at the old folks home.
I want to get them a happy life already so i try to get them in a lot of activitys.
Dont lock yourself away..have a life too!!!

It depends on 'how young' your kids are. I have seen mommy with 2 kids in shopping malls - some are fine, but some can be very challenging. There are really tons of things to do with kids at home - create some hobbies. Kids find everything interesting. You'll need a lot of energy though. Have fun!

My children are 2 and 1. i take them shopping, i take the young one in a pram and the older one on a toddler wrist strap so she can walk with me without gettin away! or u could use a double pram, which i use if i want to rush as u cant force ur children to rush if they r walking its not fair.
I would take them to the park and also to the indoor kids centres where they have ball pits and slides and jumping castles. find out about petting zoos and things like that. at home try cooking and playdoh and painting, depending on the ages, be prepared for mess and errors. try things out and see what works. There is a great book out there called 365 activities for babies and toddlers and also one for children. going on feeling walks around the neighbourhood to feel and name the colour of plants and flowers and rocks and things can be good. getting out of the hopuse with them is important not only for ur sanity but eventually u will have to take them out and if they dont go out often they will play up when they do get to. puzzles and books and imagination games are great. it really depends on the ages of ur kids. try to also spend one on one time with each child even if its just whilst the other one sleeps. have fun hope this helps.

I have 5 ages 8,6,5,23 mo and 10 mo. We spend a lot of time away from home. We visit the pool, zoo, museum, and park. We also walk on a local trail frequently. I also run errands and grocery shop during the day before my husband gets home from work. When I have to do housework, the children play outside or do crafts and finger painting. For the babies, they finger paint with pudding so it still makes the mess but doesn't hurt for them to taste it. Keeping them busy during the day gets them a good nights sleep at night, and time for me to get my sanity back!

What about the mother who makes enough money to support the household and the husband works because he wants too. And you call these working women b******!! I guess your mother never had a job or she'd be one too right? You're attacking something that you can't have with a biased, sexist opinion. It's no wonder you have a crummy job. Look at your ideal! Envy is such an ugly thing and so is jealousy.

I'm not a father yet ( because I'm only eight ) but i know the answer to that question. my little brother ( who is 1 years old ) and i play catch, we wrestle on my grandma's bed, we mostly do everything. my grandma, my dad, and i, take him to restaurants, take him shopping, he's so good we can take him anywhere. he's like an angel. we love him so much, we buy him all kinds of baby toys to play with so i can watch him without him doing anything that he can't do ( like he would ever do it. he' to sweet and kind. he's an angel i tell you! an angel! but i only have one. one is like two. so do what i said and i might work out. ).

Well, at home I do projects with them and play games. I do take them out but my kids act really good. If you don't want to take them to a store just take them to a park and let them run. They'll love it
