From personal experience:
best before - high carbs/fat, pizza is my fav
best during - occasional water, any fast food (including the ride home)
best after - lost of water, fruit juice, vitamins & a full breakfast of whatever you feel like eating without puking (chocolate on the side is the lifesaver for me!)
considering health grounds - don't binge drink at all, but if you must, be prepared to work it off afterwards with excercise and a balanced diet packed with vitamins and water to clean out your system and get you back on track ; )

I personally can't imagine EVER dating anyone who raped me and can't fathom why your fiancee dated her raper but the point is, I can't see any reason why she'd be lying to you. Imagine how hard it was for her to tell you what happened and then you reacting like that must've devastated her. It would have devastated me. Here's what it comes down to: do you really love her? Can you live without her? If deep in your heart you want her in your life forever, you're going to have to just let this go. I would believe her about being raped. I totally understand your horror and disbelief over her dating someone who raped her but the fact is that she did and you'll have to either accept it and let it go or call the marriage off. You need to do some deep soul searching and decide what's more important to you: being with her or letting something that's ultimately pretty insignificant tear you apart.

I have no 'health grounds' to back this up, but on my college graduation, my family took me out to eat in leui of a graduation party. I had steak, baked potato, chicken fingers, mozarella sticks, hot chocolate, and toll house pie. I drank a six-pack of smirnoff wild grape before we even got to the bar and I didn't feel ANY of it. I didn't feel drunk the whole night. Afterwards, I got potato skins from Irvings. Not exactly healthy (I think I gained five pounds from that night alone), but I certainly didn't drink on an empty stomach.

I am not sure if you are trying to avoid getting sick or avoid getting a hangover, but I have heard that eating something along the lines of rice or bread helps you in the absorption of alcohol, and also helps in the digestive area too. I also heard that eating something or anything is better than nothing at all.

But, breads do help soak up the alcohol in your stomach.

I've always heard eat heavy, and greasy foods are the best. Achohol eat away at anything in your stomach and that will make it harded to actually get to your insides.
It always works for me.

Never drink on empty stomach, period! Never drink to much either. (I loose respect for drunks)
When it happens you overdid it, the best think to eat is saurkraut soup from Slovak friends or restaurant in your town (check in google). Call them ahead :-) You be glad you did!
