wouldn't matter what I thought. I'd be dead. It's over. You live and die by your choices.
Or in this case...you spend eternity in hell for your choice....if your wrong.

If the christian god really existed and I stood before him, I would admit that I was wrong.
If all of the bible were true and by some miracle God forgave my lack of faith and offered me a spot in heaven, then I would rather have my existence erased than go there. Why would I say that? Because the christian god is either insane or a sadistic jerk.
1. God kicks out Adam & Eve out of Eden. God creates man & woman as innocents. He tells them that it is wrong to eat from the tree of knowledge. However, they don't know/understand right from wrong until they eat from the tree! So how could A&E possibly understand God's warning before they ate from the tree?!? God set them up to fail.
2. God created evil. If god is the creator of everything, then god created evil. No "ifs" "ands" or "buts". There are some bible quotes that support this statement, but it depends on the translation you are using. Regardless, he created evil. You could try and argue that there can't be good without evil. I respond by saying that if god was omnipotent then he should be able to create a universe where evil doesn't need to exist.
3. God supposedly gives us freewill. We can go against him and be punished for eternity, or worship him and not be punished. Great choice. He sounds like a real nice guy. Not.
4. God drowned the world. So, god creates evil, offers us freewill, and then drowns the world when people didn't act the way he wanted?!? He killed men, women, babies, and animals. This sounds like a benevolent being?!?
5. God unleashes plagues on Egypt. The Pharoah isn't elected into office. The people of Egypt didn't have much of a choice. Yet, God kills all of the first-born? Nice way to punish the innocent!
6. Jesus is tortured according to God's plan. So, A&E screw up and God holds it against humanity for 4,000 years. Then, instead of just forgiving us and dropping the matter... God sends his son down to us to be intentially tortured and murdered. Only after his son is tortured and murdered does god forgive us our sins. WTF?!? What kind of sick plan is that?
There is far more than that... but basically, there is no way I would want to share a paradise with someone that frick'in evil. Give me oblivion!!!!!

I am not a Christian and I do not know if there is a God. But if I die and find out that God does exist, hopefully she would look at what I have dont and not done in my life that she gave me and treat me accordingly.
What I have done: Taken care of my parents, treated all human beings equally and not based on their skin color, nationality and religion; been a faithful loving spouse, raised good children, treated others the way I have wanted to be treated and been faithful to the country I was born in and the country I live in.
What I have not done: ever told anyone trhat my religion is superior then theris, spread small pox and plague in order to wipe out communities that don't follow my religion, ever hurt anyone in the name of God, never commited any crime including embazlement, freaud, sexual misconduct or terorism in the mane of God.
I have hard time believing that Child molesters of Catholic church will go to heaven and honest, decent non-Christians will go to hell. If God was THAT arbitrary, I will say she was not worth worshiping to begin with.

i am an atheist and i've been asked before. my answer remains unchanged. i would have to think i turned out to be wrong about the existence of god, and admit so freely, but without begging for forgiveness, because i have done nothing wrong.
i'd also think if he's the kind of god that sends good people to hell because they are not believers, i'd obviously made a wrong turn somewhere, and that i wished i had a road map.
out of curiosity, what if you died and suddenly found yourself face to face with the wiccan goddess? or zeus? or the great spirit?

If all of you are right, you will have all of your co religionists for company in Heaven.
I would then prefer Hell. Heaven will have such worthys as many members of the Nazi partyand concetration camp guards that killed millions of Jews, Gypseys, and mentally ill people people born with physical deformities.. Crusaders that killed tens of thousands of women and children (Muslims, Jews, and some Christians)., Notorious anti-semies like Martin Luther and St. John Chrysostom, (read their writings where they preach synagogue burning and home destruction),& Jewish genocide), Pope pious the ninth, and tens of thousands of others who demonised any perceived threat to the church.
Do NOT take my word for all the above. read the book "Constantine's Sword"
All the people mentioned above supposedly went to heaven where you will go. Enjoy their company, they are all yours.. Christ may not be there with you, though.
He too was a Jew. He just might like to stay down below and enjoy his relatives, extended family, and people.
There is no hell in the old testament nor in the Jewish religion. (not for Jews and nor everyone else.)
The concept came from Zoroastrians and the Greeks.

no matter where i go if there is a god, everything is his own creation. SO every place is perfect according to your GOD. aAnd only few of cristian denomination belives in Ethernal Hell.
Now before those Crist ppl jump on me they could simply use thier primitive calculator to find out that Cristian Ortodox which is RUssia ( 280 million ppl alone) Greece, whole Eastern Europe and many denominations here are saying that Hell is not ethernal. And god will save us all. So no matter how long hell is compare to ethernity all that time in hell is only a fragment of moment.
BUt at least i don't have to kill ppl and claim its for greater good .
Therefore GOD exists.

If you are right and the Christian bible is true. That means anyone can go to heaven - no matter what evil they do, just because they accept Jesus as their savior. For the repentant - Sins will be forgiven. If Satan is real, then your god allowed evil to persist and people to suffer, when he could have prevented their suffering. Christian church teaches that god entered a virgin women, against her will to sacrifice his own son unto mankind - for their sins. They also teach that his son likes us to practice mock cannibalism to honor him. (Drink my blood; eat my flesh.. blah blah)
Heaven will have child molesters, rapists, televangelists, murderers, scam artists and telemarketers - all forgiven and supported by a god who gave me a brain and then punished me for using it. It does not matter that I am a good person, who does not believe the church?
Even if you were right, I would not worship your concept of god. That makes no sense and no amount of scare tactics will convince me otherwise. If I were to stand before god under those circumstances, I would Laugh at the futility of existance.

So should I pretend to believe in God then, just in case?
Do you have any idea what a stupid concept that is? Do you think fear will simply make someone believe in something they know is false?
You can't scare me into giving lip service to your god. I'm not a coward, and I'm not an idiot.
Turn the magnifying glass on yourself sometime. Then tell us what you see. I think you'll see a coward, before anything else.

Lots of non Christians believe in God. I don't believe in God the way you do but I believe in God. If God is like the one in the bible I would rather he turn his back on me. I am only as good as my brothers and sisters in his eyes. if one fails we all fail. I will gladly go with those that are deemed unworthy. They are the ones that need love the most.

I would wonder what Judgment awaits those who call themselves Christians while behaving in a way that drives people away from Christ's teachings. If those teachings are right, then it is must be a grave sin to bring them into disrepute by acting hateful, self-righteous, or judgmental.

From a christian, yet I am not a good one, God gave man free will. If someone so chooses not to believe or believe in another power so be it. Making you a believer does not get you a ticket to heaven, your faith, actions, and how you atone I believe is the ticket.
