Do you feel like a jerk? Ok I read your answers and it seems you are only in 8th grade. What were you doing handling a bottle of wine?

Clumsy for sure. If the label fits.

I've known jerks to be of three kinds. First, there were the old-days' soda jerks. They 'jerked' the handle in hand-making fountain drinks that we now get in bottles (Coke, Dr. Pepper, Pepsi). Those drugstore fountain drinks were grand, just the right extra syrup flavoring for a rich taste. But that was only a step above janitor in the labor market food chain. Today, the workforce replacement of the 'jerk' asks questions like, "Do you want fries with that?"

Then there was the 'jerk' that was a term applied in reference or association to, um, a guy who manually stimulates himself. There was the inference with the dance, besides the obvious motions, of several decades ago. We generally applied it to someone so socially clutzy that he couldn't get a date.

Finally, there was any man who upset, disappointed, or mildly enraged a female. I think it is sort of an amalgamation of the other two definitions coupled with a dash of disdain and a touch of impatience.

she loves her wine very much. that's why she reacted.it's nothing but a reflex action.she's probably forgotten what she said.don't take it to heart. buy her a new bottle,or any other thing she really loves.that way she will not only understand you are not a jerk she would appreciate your maturity & sense of responsibility.

If it's an accident...no
if on purpose, total jerk

Your mother is the jerk...i dont believe in calling your children names. Its called verbal abuse. Tell her youre sorry for breaking it and that real mothers do not call their children names.

You said it was an accident, so it's not like you meant to do it. If you apologized, what more can you do besides try to repalce it?
