"Say: Obey Allah and the Apostle; but if they turn back, then surely Allah does not love the unbelievers." Koran 3:32
I believe in God, but I do not think Muhamad was his prophet. The Koran says that Allah shows clear proofs to unbelievers, but it also says he blinds unbelievers so that they will not be able to tell that Islam is the true religion. If Allah doesn't love me, why would he create me. Is my purpose in the universe simply to live a brief life and spend eternity. I have read the Koran, and it sounds like the ravings of a lunatic. According to the Koran, the reason I don't understand the Koran is because Allah is concealing the truth from me. (Sura 40, vs 74 is just one example) So if I can't get to paradise without accepting Islam, and Allah won't let me accept Islam, I've basicly been screwed from birth. This is by far my biggest beef with Islam. How can Allah be a god of love?
BTW: the phrase "Allah does not love" is more common in the Koran then "Allah loves".

That's a good question ,
We are tought that God , leave us the freedum to choose , but when we CHOOSE to unbelieve , and God by his ultimate knoledge knows that that is your choice , so he make it easier to you to unbelieve , a part of his punishment to you is to even help you in be more athiest , so when you go to hell , you go with lots of bad , and you desrve more torture .
BUT , the choice is always yours , and in the Hadeeth the prophet said that God said (the meaning becuase i cant remember it accuratly ) " that who come to be closer to me by the lenghtof a hand i went to him by the lenght of an arm , and that who got closer by an arm i got closer to him more , and that who came closer to me walking i came to him running .." i can't remember the exact words but it something like that .
So NEVER make your excuse that you were doomed since you were born , their is nothing like that .. it's your choice in the begaiing and always your choice , so if you choosed God he will help you to come closer and closer , and also if you choosed the opposite he will help you in what you choosed , and he wont like you .. but remember , the exam is for all of your life , so you always ahve the right to turn back suddenly to God at any time , and then he will do the opposite of what it was , instead of helping you to be more infidele , he will help you for the opposite .
God only knows what you are up to , so if he got angry from you ,and you insisted not to obay , he helps you in that get worst , but it's not God that makes you do this from the start ... it's you
i hope that helps

Ok. for starters are you a Muslim, and if you are, how exactly did you manage to convert if you don't believe Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is the prophet of Allah (SWT). The first pillar of Islam is to state that you believe in God and his messanger (Prophet Mohammed). Secondly, I believe you misinterpreted the Quran and it's sayings and the best thing to do is see a local Sheikh and ask him your questions.

Interpertation is the act of mind, so it depends on how your mind is setup to interpret inputs.
You say that you believe in God. Do you believe only that God exists, or Do you believe that God is also Just and Fair.
If you believe that God is Just and Fair, then you need to re-read the versus with that in mind as a fact or basic grounds, then build from there.
I pray to God-The only thing that I can do- to guide you, me and everyone to setup our minds in the correct way to interpret what God says in the way that God wanted us to understand. Not what we want to understand, nor what devil wants us to understand.

Well you take things out of context.... My friend if you are learning about other religions why don't you be fair with Islam by learning from A and go to B instead of pick things here and there.

First of all, an unbeliever is someone who is a non-Muslim due to the lack of awareness of the authentic message of Islam. You read but fail to obtain knowledge cause of your approach. As sincerity, rationality, and truthfulness is essential to learning more about The Creator. The love of Allah is reciprocal, you need to put effort to reach out for Him to gain His love, Mercy, and therefore guides you to what He pleases.
‘Abdullah Bin Mas’ud t narrated that Allah’s Messenger r said, “Allah Most High has allotted you your characters just as He has allotted you your provisions. Allah Most High gives worldly things to those whom He loves and those whom He does not love, but He gives religion only to those whom He loves, so he who is given religion by Allah has been loved by Him. By Him in Whose hand my soul is, a man is not a Muslim till his heart and tongue are submissive, and he is not a believer till his neighbor is safe from injurious behavior on his part.” (Tirmidhi 4994)
In another saying:
"Allah the Almighty said: 'I am as My servant thinks I am . I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed."
You can't ask for something you sincerely haven't search for. It's only when you show gratitude and love to God does He reciprocates in abundance.
It's not true that you've been "screwed from birth" as Islam teaches us that we are all born sinless, with our will submitted to God. It only when we become older do we rebel out of our choice cause we have the freedom to. Just like we have the freedom to stay submitted to God. Or turn back to God whenever we have the willingness to. This willingness has to be backed by actions.
The fact that you put effort into reading the Quran but use the wrong approach shows that you are better than those who completely reject even reading it. I suggest you read it again with an open heart. Try not to think of yourself as an unbeliever but someone who’s searching for truth. Put aside your biases, and read the commentary provided (I prefer Yusuf Ali Translation). Allah (swt) judges you according the knowledge you have.
When you establish a connection and understanding of God. Perhaps you'll see Mohammed (pbuh) in a better light as he was a mortal just conveying God's Last message. In this message there isn't much a difference to what was sent to previous messengers (Moses, Abraham, David, Jesus, Solomon, …etc peace unto all). Here's a book you could read about Mohammed (pbuh) the person:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0062508865/002-5683254-3075238?v=glance&n=283155
I wish you well
