Subject: Water Bottle

(It is not the water that affecting you but the chemical releasing from the bottle)

How to avoid:
Check on the bottom of the bottle there is a triangle sign and there will
be a number on it. If the number is higher than or equal to 5 --> then this bottle is safe to use.

Whatever number under 5 will release the chemical. For most bottle water, the number is 1.

Did you know chemical released by plastic water bottles can cause cancer (It is not the water that affecting you but the chemical releasing from the bottle)

I recently was handed a flyer at work cautioning us not to use plactic containers in the microwave because they release harmful "diotoxin carcinogens" so it wouldn't surprise me if water bottles might release these carcinogens as well. Especially if the've been sitting in a hot car all day. I heard that the chemicals can only be released through heat.

This is true. Plastic bottles release bisphenols into the water, which in turn makes your body toxic (bisphenols are linked to certain types of cancers). It's best to purify your water with carbon, reverse osmosis, or ozone. I use a stainless steel water bottle to hold my purified water.

That doesn't answer the question though, but you do have the right information. But, basically the water is fine, it's the possibility of the bottle being at risk. And albeit minimally as it is!
