First of all, professioanl bleaching DOES damage the enamel. Whitening toothpaste is not all that effective, and guess what, it contains bleach too. A non bleach formula that may be good for you is the Colgate Professional Weekly Clean, which contains propyl-silica instead of bleach. Propyl-silica is the stuff dentists and hygenists use to clean teeth so it's good stuff. A tube of Colgate Professional Weekly Clean lasts 6 applications and you do it once a week.

for the record, fruit juice never has acetic acid. that's vinegar. besides trauma, acid is the most damaging substance to teeth. the most common acid is lactic acid and is produced as a bacterial plaque waste product from anaerobic (no oxygen)breakdown of sugar molecules. this happens between your teeth and below the gums. another common acid is phosphoric acid and this is in soda to keep it fizzy and delicious. finally, yes there is some citric acid in juice and i guess a little acetic acid in vinegar could cause some damage but nothing compared to bacteria and soda.

Many things can harm tooth enamel including excessive sugar or vomiting (stomach acid will destroy your esophagus and teeth).
Check out this link - eww! Maybe I should give up soda!

simple answer acid,be it fizzy drinks, fruit a results of eating and not brushing your teeth or over brushing your teeth
and a big one is whiten toothpaste,as it only rubs your emamal off your teeth and makes them very sensitive.
and once the emamal is damaged it makes your teeth look even more yellow, brush with a medium/soft toothbrush
using warm water moving the brush in small circuler movements with a normal tooth brushes.
floss, see a dentist at least every year
have a drink of water after fizzy drinks/fruits juice/sweets

Acids (like colas and other softdrinks), cigarette smoking, poor dental hygiene (should brush at least 2X/day with a soft to medium brush and use floss frequently).
Eating excessive candy and chewing gum (contrary to what the commercials tell you!).
