First you quoted them wrong (Do not make graven images), but as to your question, I would not want to be exempt from any of them. Each one makes life better not worse or harder.

See...there's the problem...people are always assuming that obeying God's laws is some kind of chore...or a bad thing, or that it somehow makes the world a worse place. Like, if we could only get God off our backs then we'd be happy. This is like asking, "If there were no cops around, how fast would you go?" or "What deplorable things would you be doing if you knew there were no consequences?"

Christians do claim they are exempt from the Ten Commandments. Jesus paid the price so they can sin all they want.
Why do you think so many people claim to be God fearing Christians?

I believe we should no longer live under the law of the ten commandments, but that the ten commandments have been replaced by Jesus, who said that we should live according to these two : Love God above all, and thy neighbour as thyself.

I would have to say #4. To honor your mother and father. I was searously abused as a child and find it hard to honor the ones who was responsible for it.

I'd be exempt from "Thou shalt not lie."
Telling lies won't get me put in jail, and it gets me out of trouble sometimes. ;)
(you said God said I was exempt. The Supreme Court would probably still be after me if I stole or killed someone, even if God didn't care.)

The first one, of course.
No one ever realizes that the 1st commandment wouldn't exist if there weren't other gods to worship.
