Very good question. I don't think so. Here is why.
1. North Korean people have been brainwashed for a long time now and would have a very hard time adapting to South Korean values.
2. Taiwan reunification would create a backlash among it's people who have hated China for a long time now. Would also hurt relations with the countries that support Taiwan now.
3. Militarily speaking it would not benefit either South Korea or Taiwan.
4. Would create an influx of people seeking asylum into other countries. Could also help destabilize the region.

The Koreans would be first... As for the two chinese language... I doubt so. If there are any possibilities, i could truly decide to work out the chinese language government turning out to be an element of the Taiwanese government (opposite direction around?) LOL...

The USA and China do not own those chips. China does not own NK and the US does not own Tawain. Anyways, what would SK gain from NK. Squat.

If the people of a country wish to remain independent then they should be allowed to remain so.

Err, it would be nice if that was possible.
Neither of those countries are willing to do that and it doesn't work like that.
