God will never get offended. That is not possible. Being offended only means your ego has been hurt. God does not have an ego. God does not control, or choose a pecking order to pester. God is of Love. If you think it will do some good, by all means fart! The intentions are what really matters when actions happen. Cheers!

I would be more worried about the persons sitting on either side of you. Besides which, there is not a single recorded instance of lightning striking inside a church.
