not to sound like a smart*ss but if you intend on working in or around atlanta, you will have to deal with traffic. It is a cluster here. If you don't have to worry about work then I would suggest going about 50 miles north of the city into the foothills.

Atlanta is almost always listed on the top 5 worst traffic cities in the US. So, if you wanna move there, take the Metra if you can. Clean, well run, quiet, relatively safe.

Chattanooga Tennessee would be a great city to move to. They are a fast moving. up & coming city. They have plenty of job opportunities, and they are only 100 miles from Atlanta.

My in-laws live in Douglasville. It's right on the interstate but is not that bad traffic-wise, unless you are going to the mall! It's a lovely little city. Beautiful houses, too!

NYC is a great place to stay in, yet you ought to pull a minimum of a six-figures income in case you're gonna stay in ny - the middle of NYC. And the sturdy areas value $3.5k per 30 days for a no longer-so-luxury 3-mattress room apartment. yet then, there are maximum of alternative boroughs and places in NYC - each and each of them with its very own flavor and constantly some thing to do. What a place. So for me, palms down it truly is NYC. After NYC, it truly is l. a. if i ought to stay in a respectable community with out crime or drugs (NYC is a lot safer than l. a. btw).
