When you arent laughing because hes funny, but you are laughing because he making jokes about you...hes not being himself...all these things build sexual attraction..if a guy is too confident in himself...most of the time its good to say that its not just for you..its really easy to tell because to me personally they act fake.

He's a jerk if you consistently feel bad around him...
And he's a player if you consistently have to guess where you stand with him...
Jerks are hopeless, run...Players can be tamed, sometimes...proceed only if you are willing to leave a few feathers behind...

By the way he treats you and treats other people. You can tell if he is a player, because most have a reputation. And as much as he may deny it their is usually some truth to the rumours.

if he lies to u all the time
if he tries to do sex wid u or touch u in a bad way most of the time which means he is going out wid u for physical satisfaction

If he's a jerk he'll only want you for your appearance, but if he cares about what you think and feel he's fine.(In my book) LOL And I think playa is just another word for- Rebound King.So, if he is that then ya he's a playa.
