Why be part of islam or christianity when wickenisim is nicer?
Ie woemne and men equal. No nasty rules just be nice.
Likewise no need to suck up.
No nasty attitudes to sex, beauty, love , affection.
As long as you harm none do as you will as the moral code.
At one with nature. Peaceful...
When is the last time you heard of wicken wars or terrorisim or mass organised abuse etc...?

Actually Im an athiest not a WICCAN (ok on the spelling?).
But removing the god stuff and judging by behavour...
So evil is defined by acts like burning alive people, mass murder, wars, terrorisim, abuse in kids homes, female genital mutilation, stoning people for making love or even walking in the street if female, flogging for dresscode, being mean to gays or nude models etc.
Ain't seen wiccans do much or that.
In fact only seen them behave like hippies. Into nature and being nice.
And the mgic? nothing to do with devils or other crap. Its science (ie herbal mecines based on chemistry) and psychogy (ie things like a dumbos magic feather 'love ceremony' gives confidence making you look prettier.
So not stupid guys, did check out stuff even if the spelling was lousey... Now how about some real answers not the first lot

As for piets comments on islam not being nasty as defending itself...
I was refering to all the teenagers hung for having boyfriends, the lucky ones who were not stoned to death which would be more horrical and agonising. Things like family honour killings, forced arranged marriages, the sexisim... stuff like that which you can't justify in terms of self defence

Monkey women thanks but is it not simpler to either join a group CLEARLY not sexist or anti affection. The whole group and all the memebers and that at its core or none at all?

part of the Wiccan rede is that we dont preach or try to convert people as religion is a personal path, unique to the individual. For some people, Christianity, Islam and the other organised religions is the right path for them.
Diversity is the key to a balanced world

The various interpretations of Wiccanism, which vary more than the different sects of Islam and Christianity combined, all call into play the balance of opposites: black & white, light & dark, positive & negative and...masculine and feminine. There are definite roles for men and women so the equality thing is out the window. All belief sytems have a hierarchy that includes a leader and followers who, in order a curry the favor of the leader, do certain amount of 'sucking up'. There have been, and still are, wars between differing clans and covens but, since the groups are on the fringe or located in lesser developed or lower-income areas, they are on a smaller scale and largely go unnoticed. Just as adherents to monotheistic faiths disagree on the purpose and practice of their differing beliefs, so do wiccans. If you take a look at history, holy wars were waged, on the surface, for the purpose of 'spreading the word, while just below the surface, it was for the purpose of spreading the leaders' influence. The truth is, they were about what wars were always about: aquiring land and increasing power - pure and simple. The majority of pagans did not believe that they 'owned' the land so warring for territory was not really important. Because the different groups were so spread apart, beliefs and practices varied so much, could not find common ground, had very limited resources, they could not coalesce into a large enough group to battle against the larger, major religions. Interestingly enough, most 'wiccans' live in remote areas, where the major religions have less influence (ie, not North America, Europe and the UAE), but are not accepted as such by people who call themselves Wiccans. Go figure!

It depends on whether you're searching for something you like all the time, or for something that's true.
People have different ideas of what harms. One might think it's okay to say one thing, while the other would find it offensive and hurtful. If everyone did as they willed, even with the moral code to not harm anyone - somebody's still going to be hurt. To me, it makes more sense to have guidelines to help solidify morals in our hearts.
Christians aren't always the best representatives of the Jesus they serve. But rather than looking to the people, you can look straight to God. He is the fullness of love. And after researching and reasoning and personal experience, I've found the beliefs of Christianity to be true.

Hi Joey, I will try to answer all your questions as honestly as possible. I can tell you genuinely want to know the answer to what you have asked as you took the trouble to post the question. (If that makes sense!)
I am a Christian. I struggle with the inequality of men and women that still happens in the church. I know God loves men and women equally. If you read the Genesis in the Bible, both men and women were equal and the curse came after human beings sinned. Jesus treated women with an importance and tenderness, in a time when women were second class citizens. (eg When he had the conversation with the Samaritan woman. For a man to speak to a Samaritan woman would have been unthinkable).
Sex is created by God. God loves intimacy and he is relational. He created sex so human beings could enjoy intimacy. It is so very precious and sacred to be shared with just anyone but a soulmate, somebody who is part of you. Sure, the moral argument about sex inside marriage is good, morality isn’t a bad thing, but the real reason why sex is created for marriage is spiritual, and people probably don’t think of the spiritual side of sex.
Nature is also God’s idea and creation. I love to be one with nature and I find and when I see beauty and wonder and majesty in nature I am just awestruck and I feel overwhelmed as God reveals his glory to me through the beauty of nature.
True the church has been responsible for or turned a blind eye to of wicked things over history. Jesus wanted his followers to speak out the good news of his love for us but things go wrong sometimes when Christians don’t let Jesus have the lordship over their lives. Then we can do evil things because we follow our own desires. Sadly this is a world that has rebelled against God and the church can suffer from these effects as well. A true Christian is someone who has Christ living in the and sadly because we are in a rebellious world the church can end up being a political tool, not what Christ intended. Also especially in the olden days when parents would send their sons to be priests because it was the culture you would end up with spiritual leaders who did not have Christ living in them, therefore the blind leading the blind.
But when Christians live with Jesus as Lord of their lives the beauty of God begins to shine out in their lives. Amazing things happen. Kindness, goodness, tenderness, loveliness take root in their hearts.
Somebody sent me a link to a website yesterday that I hope may help you understand what I am saying.

A few years ago I turned away from God because I had grown some erroneous views of him. But he loved me back to his heart and I couldn’t help but love him back. Although I grew up going to church I was and still am overwhelmed by the utter beauty, strength and loveliness of my Lord. And I am still blown away by his boundless, passionate, scandalous, mindblowing, unfathomable love and grace that he has for me. For me I could never leave because I know God loves me beyond anything I could imagine. I have such a longing to be loved within my soul and he more than satisfies that longing.
Ok Joey, I hope that helps. I know it is a lot but I write from my heart and I wanted to answer your questions the best that I could.

Maybe because this world is a blink of an eye compared to the next one after death.
Sure its great to be nice and everything, Islam doesnt really teach people to be nasty, defending our religion and prophets isnt a crime as long as you dont hurt people, just reason with them.
Verse 125 surah 16 from the quran : Invite (mankind, o muhammed) to the way of your lord( i.e with islam) with wisdom( i.e with the divine inspiration and the quran) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better.Truly your lord knows best who has gone astray from his path, and he is best aware of those who are guided.
for gods sake, adultery is wrong in Islam, and stuff that happens in eastern countries is barbaric and unislamic, forced marriages have nothing to do with islam, its a sick eastern culture, not islam the perfect religion, get your facts right first and present some evidence that anything bad is islamic, you will find nothing.

Actually, it's spelled Wicca or Wiccan (no ism).
It's a very nice religion now, but you should look into the history of it (what is left). Every religion has its share of blood-shed.
Did you know that people of polytheistic (multiple gods/goddesses) faiths used to feed Christians to lions?
True.
Yes, I understand that there have been many more murders at the hands of Christians and it is very good of you to notice this. But please learn more about the subject and be the change you wish to see in others.
Blessed Be.

Obviously having to know proper English has NOTHING to do with "wickenisim"!!! It's not even a word.
If you meant "Wiccan", you need to educate yourself before you try to educate others. I'd consider you an embarrassment if I that was my religion.
Grow up!
