I think I have an idea, but i'd like to hear some answers from the females.

Hmmm, that's a tough question. I'm not sure that nice guys always do finish last, either. A lot of girls are attracted to the "wild" or "bad" guys, but those relationships don't last. Sooner or later, a nice guy is almost certain to find a great girl that will love him and not treat him badly. Maybe other girls find that he is too available or too accomodating, and thus there isn't enough "pursuit" involved?

I think that being a nice guy generally means that your probably shy. Being a "nice guy", i tend to hide in the shadows hoping a girl will notice me and actually start speaking to me. And also being smart makes us scared. In other words, we think so logically that we avoid hurt by not going after somthing, but insted let it come to us. Nice guys finish last because we don't step up in line. We are the ones holding the door open for others to walk through, and at the end of the day, we are still just holding the door open because we are so scared that if we walk through it, we might be hurt.

'Bad Boys' for awhile seem more fun and cool to be with. While 'Nice Guys' appear to be boring perhaps and maybe too, wrapped around momma's little finger, always doing right. Crappy isn't it? Being seen with a 'bad boy' who seems free spirited, not adhering to any rules, marching to the beat of his own drummer without seemingly a care in the world. Do you follow me? Then when the lady wises up to the fact, he doesn't have much of a care in the world except for what he wants, she will find her a more caring respectable, nice man. I have never found a more romantic man than a 'nice guy'.

Because nice people are usually smart right, so they may be considerate and let the people who have not done it before go first. Usually the ones who like to brag and say i did this i did that. and you can usaully tell man. you can't tell me that if you were at a childs birthday and it was a scramble going on, you'd run up to scoop all the tootsie rolls and bubble yums first. So the nice 'smart guys' would go after the kids if you get the point... and many other scenarios... peace

Finishing last isn't such a bad thing. Remember that while the girls may lust after the bad boys, they almost never fall in love and stay in love with them. Eventually, they will realize that the nice guys are much better when it comes to love and respect.

Guys think they're nice when they really treat women like property or slaves. I've had guys that when I break up with them ask me that question, and I always have to ask them...."what part of this relationship has made you think your a nice guy?"
My current boyfriend is a very nice guy, he treats me like a human being and not a pretty blonde to boss around. I'm not going to be getting rid of him any time soon.

Why do nice guuys finish last? That is a good question. I think they finish last because they don't take risks. They sit on the sidelines why everybody else passes them by.

Has been my experience that women tend to find guys that 'need them' (read:USE them) guys that they can 'help' or 'change'. 'Nice guys' generally don't need 'help', so we get looked over. The other thing is: women find 'nice guys' BORING. Look around at the number of women who whine/complain about wanting a 'nice guy'; but when one comes along, they pick the sh*tbum over them.
And as for the comment about that women DO chose nice guys in the end.....go ask unhappily married women who chose to STAY married where THEIR 'nice guys' are............

When the women are fed up with the jerks, nillathrilla, they look for us nice guys at the end of the line. This way it's easier for them to find us when they need us.

it's a myth .... they don't finish last (at least not as a rule) ...
that said, there are some women who are just not turned on by politically correct yuppies who drool all over them with "Yes, Dears ...." and don't have any backbone ... they want a "take charge" kind of guy who knows what he wants and gets it ... unfortunately, some of these guys are also assholes ... some women find the trade-off worth it .... others don't
