why can a police officer in his police vehicle park on a road with double yellow lines or other parking restriction while they go into a fish and chip shop or other shop for there lunch or a paper. yet a van driver who i might add working for a reputable charity making a delivery of donated goods to one of its shops parked for no more than 5 mins while delivering a 3 peice suite gets a parking ticket. are there different rules for a police officer getting his lunch and a van driver delivering heavy goods. are the rules on parking for a police vehicle for an officer carrying out his duty the same as when he is getting a burger and chips.

also bearing in mind the nearest available parking space was a least 200 yards. and yes the police do an important job i also think taking care of those in our under priviliged countries is important as well and it was only 5 mins outside a charity shop

The police honestly think that they are above the law and
can therefore break it with impunity

Listen. Don't act like a spoiled little brat.

Some of the jobs out there in the world involve rights and priviledges that just aren't handed out for the rest of us.

Firemen (firepeople, politically correct) get to drive their fire engines to the grocery stores when they shop, or the restaurants when they go out for dinner. Ambulance drivers take their ambulances home with them. Police Canine officers get to take their police cars home. These are the "perks" allowed with the occupation. But the other side of the coin allows the holders of these jobs to BE AVAILABLE on short notice.

I'll let the police officer double park to run in and get a burger. The police car is closer when it's needed in a hurry. And I've seen it often enough...the cops are in line waiting for food, they get a call, and out the door, unfed, running to an emergency.

Stopping crime is a hell of a lot different then delivering a "suite" for charity.

Pay the ticket. It's charitable and helps pay for the paint for the yellow lines you're moaning over.

A police officer should be held to the same laws as the rest of us. Too bad it never works out that way. The only person that can write a ticket is a police officer. What officer would write another officer a ticket.........They also speed too......and use their lights to get through traffic.....well the bad ones do, not all

All emergency vehicles are exempt to parking restrictions, this allows for emergency person's to respond swiftly and immediately to any and all emergency type calls they have been dispatched to. Emergency's can occur at any given time of the day , (including during ones lunch break ). All emergency personnel ( which include fireman, police officers, paramedics) must stay close to their emergency vehicles so they are able to hear their radios located inside their vehicles in the event an emergency call is dispatched.

And on condition that actual possibility, you are able to guess inner Affairs ( rat sheperds) would in all likelihood have the particularly revealing video. base line: in case you've been there and also you HELPED, that is then given you're on any such video. Integrity examine time: do you're making a discreet assembly w/ the Captain or allow him come to you? i'd bypass it like this, assuming i became in touch: i comprehend the Captain is an administrator--yet he's likewise a cop.....and law enforcement officials HATE RATS. i'd be wise to confess involvement in substitute for no longer asking me who else would properly be in touch. in case you've been there, that is maximum proper to do the right element to shrink "the lick" you are able to assume ensue. yet save in recommendations--that is doing the right element precise that counts.

because if you were being held hostage, and they were torturing you and you wanted to police to help you, you would want the happiest cop to come to your aid. not one that thinks all of society is garbage. if your child was kidnapped, you would take whatever convience away from yourself that it would take to get your child back. sometimes when there are people in the world that have stressful jobs, and they risk their lives for YOU!!!, its just nice to let them have a convience or two. stressed out people dont care, happy people do care. thus a happy cop is the best one to come save my butt!
