The concept or belief in God is not a result of fear in its origination but to its realization. For example, when it rains, you use an umbrella to protect yourself against rain but before the thought of using the umbrella, did not the umbrella exist? Of course God is Higher, and if we were able to see God, would that make him more worthy of worship or less? Scientifically you have to believe in God b/c matter is based on cause and effect so it can not go indefinitely unless matter is perfect and eternal, which it is not b/c matter continuously changes but some thing perfect would not require change b/c it is sustained by itself. So matter has a end, but none the less if you believe that matter always existed and is perfect, who was the Decision Maker to initiate the original change of creation, since you believe in its eternity, you must accept it as perfect in the first place. Thus God must be in the formula as the Originator of creation and its attributes of cause and effect. Who can prove they are saved? Quoting a few lines and associating it with God does nothing. You earn what you get, or else God would not be Just.

No, I do not believe in god. If you think about it, it is a rather quite silly and antiquated notion. Look at the basis for most religions in whichever document or scripture that is adhered to. Many of them are rooted in quite imagined thoughts of psychological theory. They do have good lessons in how to interact and get along within a society (such as the "golden rule"), but these are all human constructs, none proving of a divine human being. People believe in god because we, being arrogant creatures, think that we are much more important in the universe than we are, and somehow, feel the need to 'live forever'.

saved from God?

Christianity makes a mockery of God. At the same time that Christians claim to worship God as an omnipotent, omnipresent, omnibenevolent being, they make him out to be incompetent bumbler. Or worse. Simple forgiveness is beyond his capacities. God must "sacrifice himself to himself to change a rule he made himself!"

This is not only an absurdity, it is an essential absurdity. It is present in almost almost all forms of Christianity, and one can scarcely remove it and remain a Christian in anything but name. By definition, all Christians worship Christ - in some form - and most worship him as a saviour.

But what, exactly, is he saving us from? Though it varies from church to church, no matter what they call it, it's God himself. A hell created by God, a world fallen as a result of God's negligence, a separation from God imposed... by God.

"It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being."
- Dan Barker, Losing Faith in Faith Christianity certainly isn't the first religion to promote appeasement of its gods, and if it were merely another supernatural protection racket, it would be bad enough. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop there. Christians elevate appeasement to the realm of "personal relationship", transforming their religion into a true monstrosity.

This is the type of "relationship" that abused wives have with their husbands, that brainwashed hostages have with their captors. It is known in clinical circles as Stockholm Syndrome. Should it come as any surprise that the cries of the church, "The Bride of Christ" sound much like the cries of an abused wife attempting to protect her husband?

"He must beat me."
"I deserve it."
"He has no choice."
"It's for my own good."

These excuses don't work for human abusers, and they work even less well for God. For if God is omnipotent, he must have a choice. And if we are flawed, we are only flawed because that is the way he made us. (No excuses that we ruined his perfect creation. A truly perfect creation does not self-destruct.)

If the Christian God does exist - and I see no reason to believe that he does - he's not worthy of the name.

And that is the ultimate absurdity of Christianity.

If you accept that his Son, Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the dead three days after he was killed. And if you asked God for forgiveness then you're saved. That's all you need to do is pray to God and ask Him to forgive you for your past, present, and future sins. The moment you say that are however else you wanna asked for forgiveness for your sins then He comes right into your heart. At that moment you are saved from eternal separation from God. Now you have eternal life with God. You get to go to Heaven! Oh yeah I'm a Christian and I can't imagine my life without Him.

Yes, I believe in God.

No, I am not yet saved; only after I have endured to the end - of either my life or this system - will I be saved. - Matthew 10:22; 24:13.

Additionally, belief in God does not equate to salvations, for the Bible tells us: "You believe there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder." - James 2:19

Yes i believe in God and I love him sooooo much because he sent his only Son to earth to die for the world so we all could go to heaven. But alot of people "believe in God" but are not saved because in order to be saved you must: recognize you are a sinner and the only way to get to heaven is by Jesus, not by works that we do, and the most important is you must accept him into your heart! And pray a simple prayer letting Him know you want Him in your life. Its not magic or anything just talk to him like He is your friend. after that you are saved from eternity in Hell and I hope I will see you in heaven someday.

I believe in God, but so does Satan. Believing alone will not save you. You have to follow Christ's Church to obtain Heaven and there is no guarantee of salvation until you reach Heaven. You just lead the best life you can. No one can claim to know if they are saved or not. That is a sin of pride.

I believe in God and that lets me know that I don't need to be saved. That everything is for the growth of that conscious energy. There is no heaven there is no hell. There is no reward these is no punishment. There is no sin. Just lessons to be learned.

I'm Muslim..Yes I believe in Allah/God..But I don't know the other question's answer...We believe that life is a exam..If u success this exam, you will go to heaven and if u don't success you will go to hell..And if u do bad things, bad things happen to you too..And u know in a usual exam 'cheating' isn't allowed..And in life exam, Wouldn't Allah be a cheater?..Because maybe Allah saves the people who do bad things from bad happens or the people who do good things from giving a prize..
