So the good person who lives for giving, and never steps on peoples' toes, and shows love. But has not accepted Christ.
And a guy who lives for greed, lies, and cheats with every breath, repents on death bed. And accepts Christ.
Who gets into the Kingdom of Heaven??? The 2nd guy? If that is what you believe: that simply saying/meaning that 5 line phrase as opposed to living for others and being humble will win God over....well...you can have it. A God that would ignore the sum of a life instead of a scoundrel who "accepts Christ", is not what I want in a Lord anyway.

Gotta love when people just puke Bible verses instead of answering a question. Look vezutrini, I admire your spirituality, but your religious pez dispenser is a mockery of real life. Go tell it on the mountain.

blah. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him think. They will always believe their falsehoods.

The whole thing is summed up this way. Ok the guy is good and does the best things, but he is doing it for selfish reasons, unto himself. Just like the theif on the cross said remember me when you are in your kingdom, and Christ said you will be with me in paradise. Well Christ said that because the man believed he was the sun of God, and he was hanging on the cross for that very purpose for the mans sins (past, present, future). The good man you that you are talking about needs to humble himself, and just accept what Christ has done for him in dieing for the sins of the world. The only way to heaven is thru the Lord Jesus Christ, because he paid it all, he bore everything on that cross even when God looked away from him for all the sin was upon him. Then Jesus went to hell and the grave and defeated it and got the keys of hell and the grave so we could all have eternal life. Now it is your choice to accept it or not, that is freewill but in the end every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess Jesus Christ as Lord. Jesus loves... you and that is why he payed it all........ for you. All have sinned and came sort of the Glory of God, but praise God there is a way out, thru Jesus Christ his son.

According to messages received from the "other side" there are two heavens. One heaven, sometimes called the sixth sphere, is a place of much happiness and beauty. It is inhabited by humans who have purified their souls through moral efforts and good thoughts and deeds. The other heaven, sometimes called the Celestial Kingdom, is inhabited by humans who have prayed for God's Divine Love and have had their souls transformed by His Love. This transformation is a physical one that actually changes your soul qualities. In fact, you can even feel changes when the Love flows into your soul. Give it a go - seriously pray to God for His Love for a week or two and see what happens. It is not about any death on the cross, it is about God Loving His children and offering them a way to come closer to Him. Do a seach for "Padgett Divine Love".

If you are saved that means that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour and believe that he died on the cross and rose again to save your life. God's love for his children is soo great that he is willing to save them all, just like if you had a child that was very disobediant you wouldn't kill him because he fell short a few times. And even if a person seems to be the perfect person and never doing anything wrong, without God in their life their life is still full of sin because God is the one who keeps you from sinning and redeems you when you do.

Personally, because I'm constantly stuck on a fence when it comes to beliefs (I don't believe or disbelieve), I completely understand your point.
I've always thought myself that if there were an afterlife I would probibly not end up in hell. I'm a nice person and I've always tried not to inflict harm (mentally or physically) on those around me. Even though I'm not completely sure what I believe, and generally lean more towards no god, I think any "good" god would be accepting of that as just human existance.
those are my thoughts anyways.

I think we all know the answer to this question. The guy who is a "Christian" yet doesn't live it is actually going to be a lot worse off then those who don't believe in Christ or have never heard of him. It's called hypocrisy. In terms of people who don't know Christ, it's my personal opinion that they won't be held accountable for what they don't know. God is more understanding, sympathetic and forgiving than we give him credit for.

Congratulations...you've just proved that religion is bogus! I personally don't believe in Heaven or an afterlife...but if there is one, I'd assume just being a good person is PLENTY good enough. And even if there is nothing after...how about the here and now? Lets just be good people, maybe karma will reward us. (karma is one of the only religious concepts I find that actually makes some sense...I'd like to think it's real.)

I will pray for you. Just like the thief on the cross, the 2nd man realized that he had lived a sinful life. He asked God to forgive Him and he will spend eternity with God,in a land that is beyond any description man can come up with. Chdristians are not without sin. We just have been forgiven of our sins. The Holy Spirit lives inside us,to help us live the christian life, otherwise;we could not make it!

God is the creator, at least from the Christian Faith POV. And we are all His posessions. He can do with his creation as He sees fit. Do you think your, or any ones, short mortal life has any claim of it's own to a place in the eternal? Without the approval of the one who created it. God set the standard, Not mankind. it is by God's rules that anyone gets to Heaven. Neither you nor I get to make up our own rules as far as what is beyound this mortal existance. There is no compulsion from God to Accept His rules. In this mortal life any one can do what they damn well please. Answering only to man's laws. It is in the eternal that you come under God's rules. And when the time come you will not have any right to ***** about your accomodations when you get to where you are going.

Basically the second guy. Plus if you are saved and commit suicide, you won't go to hell but you will lose all of the riches that you have built up here on earth. Did you know that a person can believe that they are saved and not really be? I can tell you from experience that this is true.
