Nokia or virgin mobile for pre-paid phones only $30-50. If you want the plan with phone i'd suggest cingular or verizon with the motorola Razr phone. It's pretty expensive though.

depends on where you live. are you in the usa? cuz us cellular is better by far. for minutes, pricing and calls. free incoming calls, free incoming texts, 1000 minutes for 39.99 or something like that. free after 7 (instead of 9)...free holidays, free weekends...plus more. it's really the best. :) check it out.

Get a cheap phone initially, so that if you damage it while getting used to carrying one around, you won't lose much.

I would suggest any phone.Maybe one that plays MP3's or that has a cool look and a camera.

Some cheap nokia phone, if you break it, it wouldnt matter because its such a piece of crap.
