for the record, what i hate are those who hate aethiests without knowing that they themselves are practical aethiests, if i were christian id leave everything behind and follow christ like ignatius of loyola, which is idealy what ALL christians should do, carry their crosses in one way or another. but im not, as i recognize the facf that i cannot.simply give all my possessions and live a strictly simple life, and to give more than i recieve, because then il be broke unless everyone else is into this ****.
i just hate the thought that witht he numbers of christians in the world, if every christian acted like christ, if they put christ's example and teachings above personal and social measures, all day every day, which is again, how it ought to be, then there would be no need for me to type this up.
if more than half of the world gave more than recieved more, then there would be more to go around. but this is all both idealistic and utopic.
and where is the church in all this?

conradmex: thank you . you have been the first person in my life who has cited passage without the intention of disprooving or converting. your answer has been very helpful.

magic keys: i do not wish to spread hate, however in certain situations, hatred is the most logical and humane emotion to have. would you love people who possess the power to help but do not, for comforts' sake?

miss ingie: i respect your religion fully. however one of the biggest flaws in christianity which caused me to rethink my religion is that they do not allow for dialogue with other religions. we cannot disregard mohamad and budhha and the other prophets. as for aethism, "practical aethism" is simply the hypocrites, avid church goers who simply do not practice what they teach.

one question resonates in my mind, why isnt the church able to make real disciples out of its members? if its truth it preeches, why are its rules held only at second importance by most?

magic keys: if you read the bible you can see jesus angry a number of times, at the people outside the temple, at the pharisees. even God can be seen angry in the OT and is known to take action because of anger.
My point, if you are capable of love, then you are capable of hate. Would you not hate that which hurts that whichyou care for?
its just that i am almost fed up with what im seeing. i feel like emailing the pope.

Hate is not good for you, calm down and relax..
If I could give more than I recieve it would be great. I do agree that many christians do not act like christians, but also you are thinking that all who say they are christians really are, and that is an error.. Look what Jesus said:
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

No matter what you say, you must also do what God wants, so a lot of folks aren't really christians. That doesn't stop you from becoming a real christian.

You are over thinking it, maybe because you have a hard time feeling. Let your anger down for a moment and try to understand that most people are doing the best they know how. I believe most christians and other have good intentions. Having said that, intentions are only what you mean to happen. Making it happen is sometimes more difficult than first imagened. I don't know about giving more than you recieve, I certainly do not, but giving what you can, that is what is important and giving it freely or you may as well not give at all. Don't be so angry, just do your best with what God has made possible for you.

Yes, please spread as much hate as you can.
Ain't it great to hate stuff you don't even understand? That makes it so much more fun. I can tell you are following your own example of giving more than receiving. You are giving more hate on here than you are receiving. Wow, looks like you're doing your part. Good job.

Edit:
how is hate logical?
Hate equals murder in the eyes of our father.
But I see what you are saying. I agree, If people have the ability to help others, then they should. I'm just saying, don't limit this to Christian fundamentalists. Think about celebrities and athletes who do nothing. They might have a charity, but that is just a tax break to them,... not in their heart.

Edit:
I see what you mean again, but...
You say Jesus was angered. Anger and hate are totally different emotions.Yes, I get angry and hate stuff too. This does not mean anyone is a bad Christian it just means they are human and all humans sin, no matter what religion or creed.
I want to thank you for letting me reply to you without any name calling or rude remarks. It is nice to finally argue a point civilly and not have people attacking with bad words and ignorance. I see that you have respect for others and so i have respect for you, even though we disagree with certain things. Have a good day.

And if every atheist lived as if there were no absolute morality, we'd have more Hitlers and Stalins. But seriously, I think it's amusing that atheists play the victim whenever they get insulted, and Christians rarely pull that card. When they do, they are loudly derided. Why? The bottom line: everyone expects atheists to complain. Everyone expects Christians to be moral. Why? Why hold them to a moral standard if none exists? Well, if they do not have good morals, then they are hypocrites is the reply. But what is wrong with being hypocritical if there is no god? The answer: absolutely nothing. So I wouldn't worry too much about Christians who are hypocritical. If they are right, they are in trouble. If they are wrong,. no big deal.

excuse me but before you go hating something shouldn't you know all the facts. I am a fundamental absolutist christian and a baptist and we do not hate atheists, we just try to teach them the truth!!! And we ourselves are not athiests we believe in a real God and a real heaven and hell the dictionary defines atheist as a "person who abjure orthodox religious beliefs" if we believe in orthodox religious beliefs than how can we be athiests???? So like I said get all the facts before you accuse someone.

Maybe so, but it's not God's fault, it's not the Church's fault, and it's not religion's fault.

It's OUR fault.
