No - you could wait until both of you are perusing the menus & then ask her what she feels like eating as opposed to are you hungry. You could say "What looks good to you? I think I'm gonna go for the chicken . . ." see, that way you're making conversation, you get to know her tastes a little better & it seems that you care about making her feel comfortable. Good luck & have fun!

Not rude, more stupid. Why would you ask after sitting down to find out if someone is hungry? Shouldn't you ask before you go into a restaurant if the person is hungry?

If you're on a first date, waiting to order, it is rude to ask is she's hungry cuz she'd think that you were only going to order for yourself. It would also make you look stupid, who sits in a RESTURANT, and asks someone if they're HUNGRY.
Tip: You should ask her what she wants to order instead.

depends on the girl. If she is the sort of "princess", dont better ask her, she would feel offended. But I think that a "normal" girl wouldnt mind you asking

no its not rude of you to ask her that. it just shows that your concern about her needs, its kind of sweet that your paying attention to her that way.

i mean its just like asking her, how her day was? thats not rude. its just a sweet gesture.

No, but it's sorta a cruddy conversation starter. Whatever.

Unless she's super over-analytical. then she'll probably think you're calling her fat. *rolls eyes*...drama queens...*sigh*
