I know this yet another sad day for liberals. Death on an Al Queda leader and now this WMD find.

What is funny - Democrats at once attacked this report. "Bush and Rove planted these WMD" - "It means nothing!" etc. I will remind every "HELLO NO!" Liberal is that IRAQ is a HUGE sand box. Saddam had the money, the cover of UN, French Russian and even Germans, the MAN POWER. Saddam could have moved and then hid the Statue of Liberty in the waste lands of IRAQ. This mer 500 old nerve agents weapons is a small find but it just confirms what Saddom plan was - HIDE WMD will USA farts around with UN. I feel like I have just told some children that there is NO SANTA! Liberal refuse to except this so any all other theories are being explore to let their LIE stay alive. Typical

I love it! The HATE for Bush is soooo strong they are willing except BLINDLY that he either planted the WMD or whatever else pops into their little tiny minds. Now it is a FACT that these WMD are oare OLD really out of DATE - but it is the real thing. It is a FACT that Saddam had on his payrol engineers and Scientist building a WMD program. I know several Kurds that witness Mustard Gas kill their family members and friends. Saddam had WMD - no doubt in their MINDS. I guess liberal will make up something to undermine these fact too. After seeing these rants and puke of responds - there is nothing in the world that will change a the ignorant liberal base of Democrats. Their ship is sink call "Bush Lied", "Al Queda is not in Iraq" etc. It will be a long time before they can really do more than whine, march and make up wild *** ideas.

no- liberals don't admit being wrong they say we misunderstood what they were saying. from reading some of the liberal answers though,I would like to point out--
1-Saddam's intentions are clear (he lied Bush didn't)
2-mustard gas has a shelf life of ten years in enviorments with low concentrations of H20
(Iraq)
3-Sarin gas was also found its shelf life can be decades long-one drop on skin can kill -so how old the containers are doesn't mean anything other than its more dangerous to mess with.
So all the "Where are the WMD" people need to research a little more and don't leave it up to journalist(how many times has the NY Times been busted on lies??)And the "we're there for gas folks" Wheres the gas??? I'm tired of paying$3 a gal. Getting the idea Bush didn't lie??

I've always found the whole "Bush Lied!" argument empty. Even if we didn't find anything, that wouldn't have meant he lied. At worst, he may have exaggerated the likelihood. The fact is, we never had any way of knowing with certainty whether WMD existed. Even today, there is no way to know with certainty if larger, more modern weapons were there and removed, no matter how unlikely it may seem to some.

So, yes, we've found some proof that Saddam has, in the past, used inhumane weapons. That couldn't truly be a surprise to anyone, could it? I'm sorry to say it's not big news, and naturally, the left will downplay it even more, because it doesn't fit their agenda. It is proof to me that Saddam was a bad guy, but didn't everyone already know that?

The key issue isn't so much whether the weapons existed in some state, despite the fact that this is what we always argue about. The real issue is whether Saddam posed a clear and imminent threat. While I do believe he was a dangerous person, I don't think the timing of the invasion was either necessary or wise. That said, I don't think we'll ever know for certain, and I'd say its fair to give the president the benefit of the doubt on this. I mean, come on, it's not like we invaded a peace-loving nation. Saddam is the same guy who's been invading and murdering his neighbors and his own people for decades. I wish we weren't embroiled in this war, but really, do you think Saddam would have just been a nice guy if we'd left him alone? Come on, get real, people!

I am a Con and I do not really count these wmd's but wmd's don't matter any way. It was not Bush who sent our troops to war but our Gov as a whole the thing is is that now the Dems act like they had no say. BS they voted to send the troops too. I think both parties believed the intel reports they were given and I do not believe the reports were wrong. Saddam managed to hide **** while Bush tried to rally support from the UN. Even without WMD's the threat from Saddam was real. He would with no questions ask have provided weapons to anyone that he believed could have struck the US...

Bottom line: Saddam Hussein has used chemical warfare before and was gearing up to do so again. The unconscionable thing is that he didn't use chemical weapons against any foreign military, he used it against his own citizens. That's part of what the Gulf War was about, not just his moronic plans to take over the entire Middle East.
There was a chemical program in Iraq. What stage any weapons were in in irrelevant. He had been evading the UN since the Gulf War. He was developing his production program of WMD.
But, the Left is never wrong. They thought so once, but they were mistaken...just ask any of them.

And all these people quoting FoxNews. Geez they're as far to the left as Limbaugh is to the right.

And to further quote the same story:

"The official said the findings did raise questions about the years of weapons inspections that had not resulted in locating the fairly sizeable stash of chemical weapons. And he noted that it may say something about Hussein's intent and desire. The report does suggest that some of the weapons were likely put on the black market and may have been used outside Iraq."

Since we went in because Hussein was not open about possessing said weapons (remember he claimed he didn't have ANY) and out of the fear that said weapons would be sold or given to terrorist organizations, I find this report to be quite damaging to those who believe "Bush Lied!" What is most striking, too, is that the Administration sat on this information for almost 4 months, despite constantly being attacked for failing to find WMD's. It seems to me that Bush is doing exactly what he's been saying all along, helping establish a free and independent Iraq, and simply isn't going to play politics on the WMD issue even with information that supports him. I respect that.

What were found were unusable, older, discarded weapons. And both people from the left and right have suggested that Bush fabricated the threat, that Bust should have left Saddam alone for now and actually continue to try to get catch the real people behind 9-11, that these people were holed up in Afghanistan and we let them get away by shifting our focus too strongly on Saddam. Why do you think so many expert military leaders have openly challenged this administration?

Offering the official administration response to FOX News, a senior Defense Department official pointed out that the chemical weapons were not in useable conditions.

"This does not reflect a capacity that was built up after 1991," the official said, adding the munitions "are not the WMDs this country and the rest of the world believed Iraq had, and not the WMDs for which this country went to war."

NO WHAT IS FUNNY IS THAT I JUST PROVIDED PROOF TO YOU THAT THERE IS NO PROOF THAT HE DIDN'T LIE!

Read that last paragraph carefully.

Ahem. So sad, yes indeed.

We supplied those WMD originally to Iraq/Saddam.I'm actually quite surprised it took the Bush Boys this long to find 'their' own previous weaponry. Malicious Ineptitude rules this current USA regime. And, No, the wimpy left will put it's head down, it's tail between it's legs, and slink off to wimper in a corner until the next time it whines & growls.

If they found WMDs that were actually useable and did present a threat, I have no qualms about apologizing. I'd email everyone that I disagreed with and admit they were right. I'm man enough to admit it. But seeing as how it probably isn't going to happen...Now will I ever see the cons saying that I'm right? No.

George Bush is one of the biggest mistakes that middles america has made in recent years next to making Taylor Hicks the 2006 American Idol.
2008 can't come soon enough so this country can rid itself of that cancer in the White House.
