Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your belief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith larger than a mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall not move; and everything shall be impossible unto you.

The actual verse is as follows:
17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

This was in answer to the diciples asking Jesus why they could not cast out a demon from the son of a man who asked for mercy from them. The man had called the son a lunatick and asked if they could help.

Hello YahooRFascist.. :)

Matthew 17

19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove: and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

==============================================

Above is the correct scripture.. :)

==============================================

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for..the evidence of things not yet seen..

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ..

Sir, either you are dishonest on purpose or accident, but either way, this is just plain wrong. Here's the verse:
20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Notice you removed the prefix "un"....big difference there. :)

Read carefully. you are miss quoting.

Because of your (UNBELIEF).....

20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Huh? How do you read "Jesus was against people having faith" into this?

By the way, the last part does NOT read, "everything shall be impossible unto you." It reads "Nothing will be impossible for you."

Why must you resort to the desperate measure of changing Jesus' words in order to push your anti-religious agenda?

You're an ignoramus. I am FAR from being an xtian, but I have to say deliberately misquoting something is the act of someone who knows very little with which to argue with!
You do a good job of strengthening the false beliefs of christianity. Well done.

No, my friend. I just Loathe deceit.(and I'm sure I could think of better ways to look like a complete prat...do you really think no-one can read?)

As one person said; another misquote. Reread Matthew 17:20 It says because of your

UNBELIEF.

It does NOT say belief.

This is why you have to stay in the Word. Search the scriptures daily. Not knowing the Word allows false prophets to dam your soul.

To believe in imaginary characters as a child is fun. As an adult it is dangerous! That faith is powerful enough to destroy buildings full of innocent people.

another faith than in Him. it says to have faith, but not a faith other than one in Him.
and if you have no faith in Him, then all will be impossible for you.
and why if you want so much to diss Him, why do you use his image to represent you?
