I suppose it depends on the religion. So what religion are you? If being a vegetarian is part of that, then I suppose it would be considered a sin. Consumption of certain sacred animals is considered sinful in many religions.

Who said eating normal was a sin?!?! This is the first I've heard of a movement saying non-vegitarians are sinners....what is the basis of this "sin"? Where did god say in the bible "thou shalt not eat meat"?
I'd like to know more about where this question comes from.

nope. i dont' think it's a sin. i look up to vegetarians and think their stand on life is great. i wish i could do that too...but the fact is i don't think that i could do w/out meat. i need the protein and whatnot. and i can't get it from eggs or whatever else. since i can't eat a lot of foods b/c i'm allergic or get sick.

Eating bad food is only a sin against the body.
God place certain animal to be eaten, and certain animals to cleanse the Earth.

I love meat, but I think some day eating meat will be considered to be a sin and future generations will look back on us with disgust.

what is a sin
a moral choice?
is sin something that is ungodly?
well i gotta tell ya that god created humans in this world and to use the world and all its resources that means metals wood water animals etc
so maybe its cruel to the animal but not a sin as far as godly morals go

According to the bible, god enjoys people slaughtering animals and making a bloody mess. Just ask Cain and Able.
PS There's no such thing as sin.

That's why you have pointy teeth.. for meat , not plants. You would have the teeth of a cow and multiple stomachs if you were "meant" to be vegetarian.

ah...no. Abel was a shepherd. Jesus ate meat and instructed the disciples to eat meat (the feeding of 5000 with the fish and loaves). And many other references.
