North Korea already has at least 8 nukes that we know of. The real concern now is if they have an intercontinental delivery system. The good news, however, is that they are in such dire economic straits... all little food aid and voila! they will almost certainly not test the new missle system.
As for Iran, there is much to suggest that they are at or near peak production like so many of the oil producing countries...thus the price of oil will continue to rise indefinitely. There is no credible evidence that their nuclear program is anything more than an attempt to develop nuclear power as the oil is much more valuable on the international market than to be used for domestic energy needs.
Should Iran submit to inspections and to limiting its nuclear program to energy production? Unequivocably, yes! Likewise, if N. Korea wants assistance, then it too is going to have to open its facilities to inspection, cease production of nuclear weapons, and specifically of concern to the US, cease research and development of long range delivery systems.

Rachel - It is plain to see that some people - have no concept of the power a Nuclear weapon has. If the two countries involved are capable of a first strike on any of it's neighbors, it will be more of a shock than the events of 9/11. Worrying about the event will not help any, but stay informed about what these two fanatical countries are doing, because being informed may be your means of survival. P.S. Who let Al Gore in!

I live in So. Cal. Every so often a missile test goes on at Vandenberg AFB, about 80 miles NE of me. I've seen movies such as "The Day After" and "13 Days" and the documentary "The Atomic Bomb Movie". Understanding what a nuclear weapon can do, is what is so frightening. Its all the more scary knowing that there are nations, who if they had the chance to, they would launch a nuclear weapon towards the US. If you recall from US History, the cuban missile crisis, and all out nuclear war was averted by a matter of hours back in October 1962. The US right now has 7.44Gigatons worth of nuclear weapons. By comparison the bomb dropped on Hiroshima was a mere 13 kilotons. If you wanna compare it to what most of us can understand, thats the same as 13,000 tons of TNT, 7.44 Gigatons is 7,440,000,000 tons of TNT, yes over 7 billion tons of TNT. So yeah, it is sorta frightening knowing what we have, what other countries have, and what these weapons are capable of doing. Especially if these weapons are capable of reaching several thousand miles away.

Not really in the US. But, if I lived closer to Iran, would be a bit uneasy. As far as N. Korea, He has "little man" syndrome. The really big country near him would probably slap em down before hand.

With North Korea testing long range missiles, a tad worried, their lead doesn't seem too stable either

No missile will ever carry a nuclear weapon towards the US. It will come on the back of a truck, or on a cargo ship. Thats why I'm worried. We won't know who to strike back against.

yes we should be worried about nukes, and i think we should solve this problem through peaceful solutions, rather than threats, as once someone is threatened they become more aggresive

Even Arabs are smart enough to know not to nuke us. If they use their three bombs against us, we will bomb the sh*t out of them! So, no, I am not worried at all.
Besides, California is overrated.
