the best thing to brush your dog with is called a shed n blade. They are available at Petsmart. It looks like a brush handle with a blade. If you are finding that she knots easily, Try using a conditioner on her fur after you bathe her every other week. Let the doggy conditioner sit for a few minutes before you rinse, and it will thicken and smooth the folicles. Good luck!

The PP coat is so soft and hard to take care of. They really need to be brushed/detangled daily. It is easier to do while blowing them out.

Why not just keep her buzzed down? Is keeping the coat worth it if it is painful for her? If you are showing, then that is different, but otherwise I would keep it short.

A crested owner friend always keeps hers cut down when they are finished showing. She uses a regular pin brush on hers.

Very Carefully! use a soft brush or a fine toothed comb and just be very smooth around her skin... They get irritated very easily. Try to talk to a employee at your local pet shop they could probably recommend a good comb/brush to use for that specific breed.

When you give her a bath, use conditioner and a lot of it. There are conditioner sprays out there you could buy and spray her daily. But I would ask a vet before doing that to make sure it wouldn't hurt her skin. Good luck!
