in a normal street car how fast is the fastest you ve ever driven?

i routinly drive about 100mph on my way to work( very open hwy) but i have done 135 in my freinds iroc camero....btw, im very expereinced been driving for23 years, so kids, dont try this 10-4?

178 MPH. in a Porsche 928 factory V-8 manual trans. It sucked off the line but strong back end, I was not red lined yet either, would do 190 before red lined I bet, could push it 200mph for a short time I bet. car handled great for a older car

I've never gone above 100, and this was in very rural conditions. At 100 I was surprised how quickly distant objects started approaching, like an Interstate junction on the state highway I was on. I can't imagine what it must be like to go over 100 swerving around urban traffic, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. That being said, I do support raising the speed limit to at least 85 on Interstate highways since that was the speed they were originally designed for. In Germany speed limits are raised and lowered on some parts of the Autobahn depending on traffic conditions. This is the approach we should take with the Interstate system. But the question would be where to find the funding for it, and the public will.

I have driven 150mph in my both my Toyota Supras I have had. About 145mph in my Jetta 1.8T, and I have a picture of my dash at this speed in that car. And so far only about 135mph in my Lexus IS300 I have now.

my surpa dose 189, iv had it up to 155, i had to back her down, started to run out of road.i tell you it was a rush, and scary too. at that speed any thing goes wrong, you might not walk away.
