None, people commit crime on their own, they don't say well the tv shows it so i just do it.

Both are harmful in different ways, but they both desensitize viewers to spiritual things and the laws of God. I think you also have to differentiate between violence toward people and action violence where someone is jumping through a burning building in a rescue story or something like that - where there is physical chaos but no one is being hateful and physically violent toward someone else. I noticed some people say the Bible is violent, but if they were paying attention the Bible also shows what happens as a consequence of living a life of warfare, or breaking the law of chastity, etc. There are people who may say TV shouldn't affect the behavior of people, but as a psychology major I know for a fact that many studies have been done with children watching violence on TV and how the violence in their own behavior goes up markedly - it's not just a random event.

You don't say anything about for ages so I'll go with in general: if it's children then sex because the violence in cartoons are cartoons, if it's young adults then with both it would give you the perfect opportunity to discuss sex and violence, if it's adults then I totally agree with the one who said you should know the difference between right and wrong and you should know the difference between love/sex, sex/sex, and violent sex. I hope this helped answer your question for you.
I have been in a violent(in every way) marriage got out and am in a good marriage. I have a 22 year old(who has a 2 and 3 year old), a 15 year old, and an 11 year old (2 boys 1 girl) and that is what I have done and been doing with them.
Same with music and movies.

Neither, the most harmful thing to have on TV is IGNORANCE.
The content on TV isn't the problem, it's the apathy of people to take the responsibility for what they watch. Simply put, if a parent uses the TV as a baby sitter, that's the parent's fault if the child gets affected in some negative way, as they should have taken the time to explain what the difference between reality and fantasy is to the child. If a single person watches a violent show, or a sexual show and is offended, turn it off! Nothing FORCES you to watch it. People need to be responsible enough to make that choice and live with it. Television executives are not our babysitters.
Live with your choices people... not just on TV either.

I blame every bit of it on the parents, if the parents teach their kids right from wrong, common sense, and morals whatever is on the tv won't really matter, but parents now a days are about useless the kids become bad and we blame tv or video games, but if parents would do their job the problem wouldn't be no where near as bad.

Violence, kids and young adults tend to be more influenced by this aspect if they see it than if they hear about it. On the other hand if a kid/young adult were to here (or see) about sex then they would be just as curious if not more than if they had just heard about violence.

violence for sure. Kids are going to have sex and whatever. But kids wouldn't know violence unless they were showed, you know what I mean. Violence is alot more deadlier than sex is.

Violence. At the same time watching violent shows doesn't mean your going to go out and commit a crime. If someone has a sick a mind, they would get their ideas from anywhere.

If you don't show love on TV, and only violence, the next generation is going to grow up/ are growing up living/breathing it. Thats all they know is real.
