Difference between VGA and 1.3 MP camera?

Is it true that VGA is .3 MP while the other is 1.3MP? I am looking at my dad's Treo 650 and it looks better than my 1.3MP Motorola. Like the resolution is crazy on the picture

VGA is 640x480 resolution. While 1.3MP is 1240x960.
Maybe u r right, but when u put the pictures of ur dad cell phone in a computer or get them to print, it wont be worth, while ur 1.3MP camera takes print class pics. I suggest u to take pics in daylight and open area becos its after all a phone and not a professional camera.
