Does everything have to have a purpose? Do we really think we're too special to have simply been an accident? I don't really believe there's a reason for everything. I believe that nature is a random thing. But, I also accept the fact that I could be entirely wrong. Maybe there is a reason. Is there really any way to know? The universe is huge. We barely know anything about our exsistence on earth. Does there need to be a reason for everything? Can't something just happen because?

The Bible (whether you believe it or not) makes the case that God created it ALL. He didn't create the vastness of the cosmos to confuse us...on the contrary, the vastness of the cosmos is a reflection of the greatness of God. Thousands of years ago when the Psalmist David stated that the stars are too numerous to count, he wasn't talking about the visible stars that anyone could count in those days...he was referring to the knowledge that the actual number of stars (that the Hubbel telescope has recently revealed) are indeed, too numerous to count. Knowing today that billions of galaxies exist, if one man was to count off the stars in just the Milky Way galaxy (at the rate of one per second) it would take over 3,000 years. Since nobody lives 3000 years, no man could put a dent in the stars populating the other billions of galaxies. God knew this from the beginning. Man came upon this knowledge in the last decade.

I personally believe that God created the planet earth as a proving ground to borne a people that would seek and love Him without seeing Him. Sort of like an extremely rich man would hide the fact that he is wealthy to gain a wife that would love him for HIM and not for what he owns or how she could benefit.

Why do I need a purpose? If I thought that I was here for some higher purpose I would not be able to just relax and enjoy myself. If I thought that everything needed a reason I would never get anything done.

God created the earth so that He could come down and fellowship with man. Genesis 1: 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. God gave Adam dominion over all thing He had made. When Adam eat of the forbidden tree He lost dominion over the earth and Satan became the god of this world. 2 Corinthians 4: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Then God choose a nation to take dominion of the earth (the Nation of Israel) but when they failed and had their King killed the Lord cut them off. We are no living in the age of grace until the Lord comes and take His church off the earth. Then God will deal with Israel and pour His wrath on the earth. Then at the end of the 7 year tribulation period The Lord Jesus Christ will return to the earth to rule. Satan will be place in the bottomless pit for 1000 years. At the end of that time Jesus Christ will judge all those are in hell and including the devil and cast them into the lake of fire. Then therr will be a new heaven and a new earth and God will come down and dwell with man on the earh. Hebrews 8: 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: Revelation 21: 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

My purpose is to place my faith in myself, nations, and humanity as a whole and not in some unseen, unproven entity aka God.

I am a Unitarian Universalist and this is what I believe:

The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are part of.

My purpose is to question every thing and struggle and grow.

Any questions about theories like gods or big bangs I plead ignorance to. I have read books and papers on them, but I have seen no proof.

I believe God created our Earth to glorify himself. He made us all so that we could amplify his perfect ways.

Of course, my purpose is to reflect the awesome light of God to everyone I can and to illuminate the darkness. It's a fun job. I like it.

:)

Earth was originally designed to be a perfect place. Adam and Eve screwed it up for all of us, though.
