Truth, clearly you are young or just stupid. Every person with half a brain knows that polls are wholly misleading. You can make a "poll" show anything you want based upon how the question is approached and asked, and what answers are available to the respondents. In other words, polls are meaningless since they have no authority. Rather, you should look at things with meaning IE elections. Recent elections in Iraq continued the trend towards democracy in the country by electing a pro-American government. Since this government is bent on allow the US to help in the country, if truly a majority of Iraqis wanted the US out right now as you believe, they wouldn't have been elected into power.
Thanks Kevin G., for that very insightful commentary about our 2004 election. Now maybe someday you can think for yourself for once, instead of ripping off the ideas of Colorado-born satirists.

The recommendation of "alternative fuels" is spin.
Even if america follows brazil's lead in ethanol, Con Agra will replace Exxon. Do you think that Family Farmers will be able compete with huge Multi-national Conglomerates? Read about Oligopoly, and Oligonomy.
YOUR money will still go into THEIR pockets.
As for the "democracy" in Iraq, voting is an illusion of choice. You either get a Giant Douche, Or a Turd Sandwich. You think you played a part in running your country, but all you did was choose, Coke, Or Diet Coke
A Guy
Rip off? Get off me! Like Trey & Matt were the FIRST people to reallize that there is no choice in elections. You don't agree with them? What country do YOU live in?
You probably think we still live in a DEMOCRACY with ELECTED officials. Hysterical.
And I see that the only thing you attacked was
the joking quote (wich was true), not the actual statements (also true).
Interesting.
The point I was trying to make W/ Douche and Turd was:
No matter who you vote for, they both work for the same people. NOT US!

Do any of you honestly believe that if Iraq had absolutely no oil or valuable resources what so ever, the USA would of still invaded?
Thats all they want, to better themselves at the expense of others , I wouldn't be surprised if they invaded Canada for some lumber, fish, or stronger beer.
And snowy your clearly another problem with the US, where do you think the USA gets all its oil from Texas? lol thats BULLSH**
Their oil comes from numerous places, which is why Bush is able to say "oil fields are getting burnt in Iraq, so gas prices go up", "Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf coast so gas prices must go up"
The fact is that Iraq never had WMD, only crap weapons that the US had already given to them. If they are truly worried about WMD shouldn't they be paying more attention to N. Korea than to Iraq.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear...another deluded soul who thinks that the U.S gets oil from the middle east...
Go away and do some research on the global oil industry and then come back and ask the question again....
preferably when we have invaded Canada.
VOETBAL - Having worked in the oild industry I can tell you exactly where the USA gets its oil from. In order
1) Canada
2) Venezuala
3) Alaska
And the Texan and gulf of mexico stuff goes to strategic reserve, of which there is currently 50 years worth stockpiled, and even some export.
There are also identified fields off the Eastern seaboard which havent yet been drilled but are thought to be significant.
There is an oil dimension to the whole global situation but it is not about domestic U.S consumption.
Those are facts, where are your qualifications before you start calling people bullshitters.

For people who say the war is about democracy:
Poll: Most Iraqis want U.S. forces to leave
By JOHN SOLOMON
The Associated Press
WASHINGTON – Iraqis overwhelmingly view U.S. forces as occupiers and wish they would leave, according to a poll commissioned by the Bush administration.
The poll, requested by the Coalition Provisional Authority last month, found more than half of Iraqis surveyed believed that they'd be safer without U.S. forces and that all Americans behave like the military prison guards seen in the Abu Ghraib abuse case.

If you think really, really hard, you answered your own question. Did the idea ever make it down to your ***(where your brain is located) that we aren't there for oil?
