No, I mean, I don't believe it was really even a fruit at all. Haven't you ever thought about it? Like the "forbidden fruit" stands for something else...

No. All we know is that it looked appetizing. It was one tree that no longer exists today.

The term "forbidden fruit" is a popular metaphor that describes any object of desire whose appeal is a direct result of the knowledge that it cannot or should not be obtained. The phrase comes from the Bible, where it is the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil eaten by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. According to the narrative, as a result of eating this fruit, Adam and Eve lost their innocence, began to know good and evil, and were exiled from the garden where they were forced to adopt agriculture for a living. The concept of "knowing" good and evil can be best understood as being emotionally entangled with the struggle of determing the difference.

Popularly, the fruit has been identified as an apple (perhaps as a Latin pun of 'malus' sounding like 'evil' and 'apple'), although the Bible does not identify the fruit as an apple. Judaism teaches that the fruit may have been either grape, fig, wheat, or citron.

In the philosophical novel Ishmael, the story of eating the forbidden fruit is described as a metaphor for the loss of quality of life caused by the change from hunter-gatherer culture to an agriculture-based society.

The only thing I can tell you is the fact that there is only one forbidden tree in the scriptures. Numbers 6: 4 All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk. I know that this the vow of a Nazarite but the vine tree was forbidden. Through the whole Bible the fruit of the vine represent blood. Adam sinned by eating the forbidden fruit and all people received his blood lineand became sinners. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Unfortunately, the bible does not say what the Forbidden fruit was. Everyone assumes its an Apple, that is the way it is presented in images, however, the bible does not specify what the forbidden fruit was.

I believe everyone thinks of apple and was chose as one since its the fruit that begins with the first letter of the alphabet. and Also because it would be the easiest fruit to eat.

Melon, or watermelon would be to large,
Oranges, bananas, kiwis or any citrus fruits need peeling.
Apples, Strawberries, grapes and berries would be the easiest to consume, however, strawberries, grapes and berries do not grow on trees.

So Presumably apple is what people think.

Most people say it was an apple, that is how it is portrayed, but I think you could be right. The forbidden fruit may not even be a fruit, and you may not even be able to eat it. I'm pretty sure that most of the Bible is a metaphore because people who take it literally usually end up being way to strict and sadistic.

The forbidden fruit was and is the system used to market the female reproduction system used for pleasure. The system is composed of phrases and the second vocabulary that symbolically and directly is used to market pleasure for power. Hand communication is the first part of the system. The formation of secret groups in life and religion is as old as man.

Sure they do. If you pick up a copy of the Strong's Concordance and a 1611 King James Bible you to can verify it for yourself.

Here is the answer you seek.
There is not an apple found in the verses concerning the fruit Eve ate. Satan in the role of the serpent, beguiled Eve into having sexual intercourse with him.
She then gave unto her husband Ha-Adam where she conceived and brought forth twins from two separate seed lines.

There is a fountain of wisdom and knowledge contained within the pages of God's Holy Word. Ask Him for knowledge, He says He will freely give it packed down and fully measured.

Seek and you find.

Scripture says only that it was the fruit of the "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil".

Couldn't be an apple because apples are a eugenicized fruit. They didn't get so nice and rich and juicy until after generations of orchardiers carefully grafted and cross-pollinated them.

Same with cherries, pears, peaches, plums, grapefruits, oranges, lemons, limes, apricots, etc.. Actually ALL fruiting trees have edible fruit only because man took the time to lovingly make them do so.

And remember, "fruit" doesn't necessarily HAVE to mean the yummy stuff just mentioned. It can mean a child, as in "fruit of my loins". It can mean a completed project, as in "fruits of my labor".

Even "tree" doesn't necessarily mean a large plant with woody stem and bark. There's the family "tree". The hall "tree". You get the drift.

What the lesson is has nothing to do with what He forbade them to eat, drink, say or do. The point is God said "No" and man said "Up yours. I'ma doin' it." And man got his butt walloped. Like any snotty little kid who thinks he knows what's best for him, man found out he didn't really know diddly-squat.

Moral:Listen to God. He really DOES know what's best for you and loving you so much as He does, you can bet it'll be just that, the best.
