It's appointed unto man, once to die then judgment. When you die, God will judge you by His Ten Commandments. Have you told a lie, stolen anything, used God's name in vain, disobeyed your parents? If you are guilty of breaking God's commandments on judgment day you will be sent to Hell. God provided a way for you to avoid Hell and spend an Eternity with Him in Heaven. Jesus Christ died on a cross and rose again in order to take your punishment and pay the debt for your sins. To take part in His gift of forgiveness you MUST Repent, which means to ask forgiveness and turn from your sins, then put your complete Trust in Jesus Christ. Only then will you be accepted into Heaven, not because your a good person, but because your a bad person who's been forgiven.

If you accept Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior, you will go to heaven. If you do not, when you die you will expereince eternal seperation from God and punishment. We deserve to experience this eternal seperation and punishment. But when Jesus Christ died on the Cross and then rose from the dead, He took upon himself all that we deserve. This is a gift from God. We do not deserve it because we all fall short of the Glory of God. Thus, the one and only way to go to heaven is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

It is interesting that your question's description includes your own answer. It is also interesting that it does not include any scriptures to support it. The question asked is "Where will you go when you die?" The Bible clearly answers the question. Without giving my own thought as to what happens to us when we die I will list the scriptures that tell us. Because there are so many versions/translations of the Holy Scriptures I will only list the scripture without quoting it so as not to be offensive. Enjoy!
1.) Psalm 146:4
2.) Ecclesiastes 9:5,10
3.) Ezekiel 18:4, 19, 20
Is there hope for the future if this is the case? Write another question and I will answer!

I go where God sends me. I believe in Christ as the incarnation of God's love and forgiveness to a stupid world, but would not presume to tell God how to run a universe of immortal souls.

See also: "Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. You said, 'Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.' My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes."

I will go into the soil and the water and the air, and my atoms will spread across the planet. They will become part of countless new lives, perhaps even be re-integrated into the stars from which they came. When I die I will go everywhere.

Your eternal destiny is determined if your name is written in the Lamb's book of life or not.
You will be judged by the book[s] according to your works.
The Bible is not one book, but rather 66 books in one volume.
And then, the lamb's book of life will be opened.
If your name is written there, you will go to heaven.
If it is NOT written there, you will be LOST.
[And whosoever's name was not found written in the book of life were cast into hell fire].

No deities, no afterlife. I'm going to rot in the earth until I'm dirt. End of story.
