It's sad you cannot post a question without being attacked by Christians that claim to adhere to the words of the Bible, particularly "Judge ye that not be Judged" and "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." These so-called Christians should be ashamed for not allowing you to express your different Point of view in an open forum. I think an even better point to make for these individuals who are willing to attack you in such a juvenile way is to quote my Kindergarten teacher “If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all." May whichever god you choose, even if it’s none, bless you all.

That would be Leviticus 18:8 The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it [is] thy father's nakedness.

You probably don't care but you should seriously consider your altering His Word.

Revelations 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.

18:9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, [whether she be] born at home, or born abroad, [even] their nakedness thou shalt NOT uncover.

A) You really should mention WHICH book of the Bible you claim to quote.

B) The closest I could come to finding those verses was Leviticus 18:8-9, which says: v.8 "You shall NOT (emphasis mine) have intercourse with your father's wife, for that would be a disgrace to your father." and v.9 " You shall NOT have intercourse with your sister, your father's daughter or your mother's daughter whether she was born in your own household or she was born elsewhere." New American Bible

C) Perhaps you have a faulty translation? Or a faulty sense of humor?

The mythes of the Old Testament are ripe with contradictions. "Thou shalt not kill" becomes "kill everything, man, woman, child, and animal," for Joshua. "Thou shalt not commit adultery" doesn't apparently apply when Sarah gives Jacob her slave to procreate. The taboo against incest becomes the demand for incest when population numbers get too small.

Were it not for repeated rewrites primarily to create parallelism between the messianic foreshadowing in the Old Testament with the arrival of the messiah-hero in the New Testament, the Bible would be even more inconsistent than it is at present.

Youre reading it totally WRONG, the bible does NOT approve of incest, the nakedness it talks about is of the HEART not the body.
The bible does have some errors though as it was written by MAN. The word from the Lord himself is NEVER wrong, and he will never agree with incest.

Please explain how in Hell you got the idea that the Bible approves incest from those scriptures.
However, the Roman catholic church attempted to use incest to develope a super race after being so successful with Jesus. That is why members of the clergy are called brothers and sisters. The concept did produce genius, but it produced so many retards that the Church finally abandoned the practice.

The story of Lot is better. Upset at loosing his wife, he knocks up his two daughters.

Guess being a Jewish Princess was a little different back then.

Of course he had them deflowered (love that word, it's just TO stupid) and gang raped the day before.
Good thing he was holy. Or he might have got in trouble!

Because obviously the bible is nothing but a twisted ancient tribesman's philosophy, a contorted pep talk for the weak having many contradictions and simple mythology.
