In your opinion, what is the major problem with organized religion?

They ARE the major problem.

The major problem with organized religion is the sheep-like mentality that churches instill.

Very few Christian churches study the scriptures chapter by chapter, verse by verse in the original languages that they were written in. The members rely heavily on their leaders to do their thinking for them, which is dangerous.

They are also too busy playing church; singing, passing a money plate and building sermons around a handful of well worn scriptures. Studying the bible this way would take 600 years, if you only relied on a Sunday sermon to teach it to you! What they should be doing is spending the majority of their time in the Word, in the original languages, discerning the Truth instead of having it spoon fed to them. It leaves these congregations ignorant to the Word of God, and vulnerable to believing whatever some preacher tells them the scripture means, when they could be finding out for themselves.

It's very dangerous for a Christian to do this because they are too easily mislead this way.

They brainwash their followers to such an extent that they think logic, common sense and truth are all just the devil whispering in their ears.

They promote ignorance, intolerance, fear and arrogance, with which they try to run everyone else's lives.
