Surprising so many answers. If you start in Genis you find that it does not mention others of any account until it comes to man. It has God calling things into formation. There must have been a goodly number moving things and mixing things as the heavens and the earth were created. With earth there was the additional processes of creating plants and animals.
"THEY" were so impressed, they said "Let us create man in our image!" And so God created man in his likeness.
So when God demanded there be light, I am sure the others that looked like him did what they needed to to create light and keep the boss happy.
Read Genis-pretty plain writing no need for an expert to explain the basic story, but plenty of room for kids to ask how and why.

Anything God may or may not have said is only the conjecture of writers who often took creative license in their efforts to promote their religious beliefs. Most of these writers claim "Divine Inspiration" which can never be verified one way or another. In fact, we only have the word of these writers to prove the existence of God or Jesus Christ.
But, I suppose, if you believe in a literal translation of the Bible, then God need only think a command for it to be so. The forces of the universe obey his wishes without the need for God to be heard by any entity. And, so, then there was light.
However, if you look at the passage from a purely philosophical/metaphysical point of view, was this a lesson that we can learn to create great works with the power of our collective thought? So, if a tree falls in the forest and there was no one there to see it, did we collectively fail to support that trees continued existence?

Yes, God is a triune God, so He is in community in and of Himself. There is one God but three manifestations He has in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Also, Satan and the angels were all around too, so they heard it, as did the light itself as it was coming into being.
About the air thing, I don't think God needed it to speak, but if He chose to use it, He had to have created it first, or else used whatever He uses in heaven to speak.

i'm no longer being sarcastic, i myself choose to be attentive to the solutions to those questions: -What became the element of uttering the words "enable there be gentle"? It became a command. -Why could no longer he purely create gentle without asserting something? because of the fact he had an aim marketplace. -Who became he speaking to?Jesus and the angels have been staring on the teach. -In what language did he say it? Unknown -How might desire to God communicate if there wasn't an Earth yet, meaning there wasn't air? Sounds can no longer shuttle without an environment. speaking is a constrained notice there are different techniques he might desire to communicate. at the same time with by utilising Holy Spirit.

If there's a man in the forest, and no one around to to hear him talk, will he still be wrong? YES
He was probably talking to the ocean, or a micro-organism like bacteria.
