because u have a serious case of o.d.m (old dieters mentality) u get on a diet that is too strict and end up "messing up" so u say whatever i'll just start back hey! on monday! that way i can keep "messing up" all weekend and this next time i'll be serious about it. LOOK honey from now on don't think of it as a diet diets don't work u are setting ur self up to fail just make small changes u can get used to and keep on going even if u "slip" when it happens just tell ur self ok i'm not perfect but i'm not going to continue messing up i'm going pick up right here where i fell off it will take some time but u didn't gain weight over night and it won't come off over night just keep on going!

You are not alone, me and my coworkers feel the same way. Iv'e heard that starting adiet on Monday gives you the kick you need to stay on the diet or finish out the entire week. I also heard that starting a diet the beginning of the month is more promising also.

i guess ur stuck on Mondays because it seams easier to keep track and follow a schedule by keeping up with the days of the week. I've heard that myself when someone would rather start on Monday, because Monday is the beginning of the business week, therefore they can easily keep up with the days- hope this was helpful- good luck on ur diet

I always weigh myself on Monday and am usually very depressed. So I start on Tuesday then everything goes downhill till the next Monday. I've tried drinking loads of water but all I want to do is wee, its so inconvenient!

I think we all do that. It's the beginning of the week, so why not start on a Monday, and once you cheat, forget it, the diet is ruined for the week, so try again next week. We all do it.

Diets are the most dangerous things you could do. They make you fatter in the long run. They do this because your body realises it is being starved and slows down the matabolism and starts to store fat because it thinks it will need it later.
Eat 6 small meals a day. This will keep your metabolism going and it will burn fat quicker. And excercise!! Drink loads of fresh water!Just don't diet...you will regret it later on.....

The very term "starting a diet" implies that you will also be ending the diet. In order to maintain a healthy weight, you must change your eating and exercising habits. Our big problem is portion size. People don't eat pizza, they eat PIZZA. Eat slowly and enjoy smaller portions and you will be smaller.
