What do you think will happen to our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq?

I think the troops will still remain there coz u'll still have the war against terror and the al quida to deal with.If America attacks Iran(I pray that they dont),then u have a additional obligation of maintaining law and order in Iran.
The other line of thinking is the oil part,America will keep its troops stationed in every region where there is oil (to protect its interests).

I think we will pull out too early before the job is really done if a Democrat gets elected; just to appease their liberal followers.
Then the Democrats will take all the credit for the hard work our troops did.

If a republican takes Bush's place we will continue to be there and take care of business. Then slowly bring the majority home. Bush is pushing the new Iraq government to be self supportive. It will happen, but we will always have some troops over there.
Look at Germany, we still have bases there.
To expect Bush to just bring them all home and end it right now is ridiculous.
This week has been increasingly brutal because of the rebels coming in from Afghanistan.

God willing they will all be sent home but of course not all at once but in groups and I'm hoping that whoever will be in office will make sure that there won't be need to send any more troops over there.
Maybe even sign a peace treaty and work on world peace for a change instead of trying to show who's in charge of the world and who's beliefs have to be followed. We all have different beliefs so why not just leave it alone and that in itself might help to prove we truly want to work for world peace.

In my opinion, the next president hopefuls will try to say that they are going to pull the troops out of Iraq for their campaign, but I think that if we just pull them out there will be utter chaos.

Hopefully this war crusade will end and Bush can go fight his personal wars himself. The world will then be a safer place without that zealot trying to get into the history books. The g.I. can come home and if anyone dares mess with the US then just blow away that part of the world with one strike and get it over. Stop killing our kids.

Hopefully we will have another good conservative leader in the white house and he or she will continue the campaign in Iraq until the job there is finished.

Uhh... they are going to be there for atleast 20 more years. No mercy for terrorists are you gonna let them get away with 9/11? We didn't let the Japs and Germans get away after pearl harbor. If you attack the U.S. we will hurt you 50 times worse.
Republican or Democrat it doesn't matter. Even though the Democratic party has been tarnished by it's poor actions.

Iraq will hopefully be drawn way down, as they don't want us there, because we are not Arab Moslems.
Afghanistan we need to stay in to sort out al Qieda and the Taliban real terrorists and religious extremists, and to kill BIn Laden.
